  • Price seems comparable to other retailers
This RAM is fast enough to suit my needs. I run VMs, compile code (Linux kernels and other program code). and do some web development. Running 128GB of this RAM along with a Ryzen 3950X gives me plenty of machine to do everything that I need. I've purchased G.Skill within the last year for use in a different machine and had no problems. I'm satisfied with the quality. ... show more

  • Great RAM for Asus ProArt X570-Creator WIFI Motherboard with AMD Ryzen 5950X
Just finished building my first AMD Ryzen based PC. This RAM is on Asus's Qualified Vendor List (QVL) for this motherboard and CPU combo. No issue at all. As said, on first boot, RAM uses the default JDEC speed of 2133. I went into the BIOS and enable XMP (or AMD's equivalent of DOCP) profile #1. On reboot, it correctly starts up at 3200 with timing of 16-18-18-38-1T. My PC has been stable since. Easy enough. I use AIO water cooling, so clearance is not a concern for me. However, judging from my PC building experience, this RAM is low profile enough that it should clear most, if not all, coolers out there. About the only (minor) complaint that I have is the RGB. Don't get me wrong, the default RGB mode is kind of pretty. However, I am not an RGB person. By default, even when my PC is put to sleep, the RAM's RGB lights continue to stay on. I have to further mess with the BIOS, as well as installing G.Skill's Trident Z Lighting Control software to disable the RGB. Not a big deal after I figured it out. Other than this, I highly recommend this RAM. ... show more
