With the diminishing supply of DDR3 RAM, I’m thankful I was able to snag these. I’ve had the (nearly identical) red version of these since I built my computer in 2013, but adding these for 16gb in total was one of the best things I never thought to do. I had bought this same brand of desktop memory from NEWEGG.COM. I bought this set because I got it at a cheaper price. I use it to overclock on several of my AMD and INTEL computers. I got my 8gb easily with my GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 but has been really hard to give up to 1866mhz (maximun 1600mhz), after an bios update a did!! 1866mhz!! but not 2000mhz and less 2133mhz!! i did it making some kind of overclock (not recommended if you are trying to avoid warranty loose) so im not sure if its problem of the memory or the motherboard, thats why i gave 4 stars... ... show more

I know from experience that GSkill makes great RAM. This is no exception. However, one of my sticks was damaged and I promptly returned this product. But even still I have used them before and had no complaints.

This is the best Memory I have had. I have been using it for 2 years and have had no issues. The bios in my computer detected the timing and voltage settings with the push of a button. I am not big on overclocking, but had to change the BIOS to get these babies up to snuff. Running them at about 2200 and I see no issues thus far. None. Fit well with an ASUS P8P67 Pro. Only got a pair, but since they are so good, I may order the second pair soon to get up to 16 GB. I know it's probably overkill, but you can never have too much of a good thing, right? ... show more
