    • Casio Quality Has Bottomed Out
I'm 63 y/o and a retired US Army helicopter instructor pilot. I've worn Casio G-Shock since I was in my early twenties. The first G-Shock I owned lasted at least 10 years. Back then, I was able to replace the batteries myself. The second G-Shock I had over 10 years. G-Shock was with me through thousands of flight hours and everyone of my parachute jumps. I'm a loyal consumer, I stayed with Casio because at a crucial time in my life I could always rely on my G-Shock. In the past five years, I've had to purchase five replacement watches. They just don't last. Physically, they are great looking watches, rugged. Internally, they just don't make the grade any longer. The batteries don't last a year, I cannot change the batteries. The last watch cost me $50 just to have the battery changed; and I was without my watch for about three weeks because I had to send it into Casio North America. Jewelers won't touch a Casio. I purchased another G-Shock in November and it is now, 7 months later, randomly resetting itself to factory settings. When I need to know the time, I need to know local time, I don't care what time it is in Hong Kong. Worst of all, I'm out $267 and Casio doesn't seem to care that I've been loyal to them for 40 years. ... show more

I tend to go for the bigger watches. This watch does not disappoint. Great watch, the carbon fiber is a nice touch!
