This G-ShockI watch features a round stainless steel case with a resin and carbon fiber overlay, adjustable resin band, traditional buckle closure, and red dial face. Shock resistant. Analog and digital time keeping. Dial face features stick index hour markers, digital display, sub-dial, minute track at perimeter, and brand name. Carbon Core Guard structure. A new carbon core guard structure protects the module by enclosing it in a carbon case. The case is made of fine resin embedded with carbon fibers for outstanding strength and crack resistance. I have to keep this at 5 stars because it really is a great watch despite the readability. I’ll be honest I never liked a g shock watch because they were too bulky and “sporty” looking or in my opinion made you look immature or still in high school. (Again just my opinion) However, I needed something more durable for work and I want the analog hands for telling the time the way it should but it’s also helpful to glance at a digital display from time to time. This watch checked every one of my boxes on top of it being much slimmer and much more classy looking while still being comfortable and not flashy for day to day wear! I bought the "stealth" (all black) version for the $99 list price here on Amazon from a seller called BrandsWalk. It seems that some dealers are price gouging on this watch, which is typical these days for certain watches that are in short supply (especially men's Rolex sport models or this particular G-Shock). My thanks to BrandsWalk for having the decency not to take advantage of this situation. As others have said, this G-Shock wears smaller than its 45mm diameter. I have small 6.75" wrists and this watch is quite comfortable and doesn't look totally ridiculous on my arm (at least from my perspective). I've always wanted a G-Shock but few of the models appealed, either because of aesthetics or their monstrous size. This model works on both accounts: No barnacle-like protrusions and a relatively slim aspect ratio. It looks good, feels good, and seems to work well (during the short period I've had it). I especially like the stealth version, which is adequately visible even in a dimly lit room. The day of the week indicator (near 9 o'clock) won't be easily visible unless you're in a brightly lit environment, but that doesn't bother me. The digital information (which can be toggled through date, world time, etc.) near the 4 o'clock part of the dial can be easily illuminated with a press of the B button (near the 2 o'clock position). My watch came set (accurately) to Tokyo time. It was easy to change to New York City time by reading the enclosed instruction booklet. These are great G-shocks, they aren't huge, and the Matt black looks modern. They really need to increase the brightness of the display though. This is a theme with Casio, time to modernize the displays. I still love Casio though, for this series and their vintage series.
