Well made and seems to block sewer gases well. I had read another review about using on a 2 inch floor drain. My 2 inch floor drain goes straight down and thus if this falls it would be lost. I took a scrap piece of PVC and cut out approximately 3/4 of an inch to make a snap ring and pushed it down inside the 2 inch pipe so that it could not fall. Works well ... show more

Does an excellent job sealing the drain and eliminating odor coming from the drain. I ultimately returned this because it drains slower than the water flow from my shower causing puddling, and found the Oatey2 in. Seal Drain for Showers and General Purpose works best for my everyday use.

I have a drain that backs up and floods our hvac/water heater closet whenever we run our laundry machine, due to improperly installed plumbing, and this helped fix the issue. I have a feeling this is just a temporary fix, but compared to the thousands of dollars I would need to break concrete and properly install new plumbing, I'll take it. I did a test run and it all kept the water down. It did look like a tiny bit of water broke through the seal, but nothing came out of the drain. The little bit that did break through went back down the drain, and presumably helped keep any additional water from coming up. If it ends up lasting a while, I will gladly buy another one when it fails/as a precautionary measure for when we do fix the plumbing. ... show more
