Updated review (set to 4 stars instead of 5 due to the original quality control issue): The vendor sent out a replacement charger for the one that was missing the charger cable that I received in the original package, so updating to 4 stars since the scooters (I got 2 of them) have worked well for my daughters. It even works for a heavy adult male like myself, even uphill. I was worried about it having non-tube tires because I thought the ride would be rough, but the suspension that it has in the front is sufficient for paved streets and sidewalks. It was a little rough on badly worn out asphalt at a local park, but I still prefer knowing my daughters won't be stuck with a flat tire if this were to have a tube tire that punctures. The battery lasts a really long time for my skinny daughters (I'm sure if you add more load, it'll last less), and we live in the foothills with lots of steep grade. It folds and fits well in the back of a family sedan, with plenty of space left for groceries. original review: How am I supposed to charge this when it's missing the part of the charger cable the connects to the wall? I purchased an i8 one year ago. The battery only allows me to travel about 20 feet now before going dead. Yes, only 20 feet. I contacted support and they offered no help whatsoever. I recommend finding a product from another manufacturer. One that actually stands behind their product. Update: Support has claimed they will now replace the scooter in September. Initially I received a scooter that did not work. I returned it and ordered a new one. Now I am updating my review to reflect my experience with a working scooter. After getting the scooter, I charged it up, and tested it out at home. It worked well. It held a charge. Then I took this scooter on vacation and used it to go on flat paved bike paths and paved roads only. It was reliable and worked well. The scooter maxed out at 16mph. This speed is perfect for me, as I like to be cautious. My partner had a different scooter from a more popular brand that could noticeably go faster. Overall I am thrilled with my scooter and it’s performance. It is a good weight that is easy for me to carry when folded up. I plan to commute to my work on this scooter, 1 mile each way, a few days a week. Lastly, customer service was very responsive. I bought two g-cycles for my 13 and 14 year old boys. They are actually really great. However, one had a battery that wouldn’t charge, so I had to return it. g-cycle was quick in their response and told me to return it. I plan on buying a second one as the first one has had no problems.

Bought this scooter for my grandson for Christmas. By 1/7 the fully charged battery only lasts for two blocks before it dies! So mad about the quality of this item. I would never recommend this expensive item to anyone! Update: Seller contacted me and offered a full refund. I was also told the model scooter I bought is being looked at for redesign to fix the flaws, which I appreciate. Will update again if /when a refund is received. ... show more

Scooter worked great for about a year, but wouldn't turn on when it got closer to a year of having it. Contacted customer service via support@g-cycle.com and got a refund within a couple of weeks. Giving it 5 stars it worked great until it didn't, but got no hassle when returning it after breaking.

So this is a very very well made product. I think it is worth the money. The battery life is very deciving. it is sturdy and it handles well. The battery will look like it is dying fast but then you have a lot more juice left. I also think the weight limit is very underrated. I weight around 260 and I might keep 10 miles on a fresh battery. It does not like hills at all and will kill engine power to save the motor. I truly believe if you are a smaller guy under 200 lbs, this thing would be a blast. I don't hate it but, not really made for anything other than short distance cruising ... show more
