These were installed inside our vestibule, on a curved curtain rod, as a barrier against a cold draft that comes through our front door every winter. These velvet curtains work brilliantly to keep the cold air out and the warm air inside. Our mail carrier can still deliver mail through our mail slot without blasting us with cold air when they do and the mail is now corralled between the curtain and the door which makes the entry much more tidy. The soft fabric is pretty and of medium weight that is delightful to the touch and easy to move to the side without effort. In addition to its practicality, the look of it at the front door has made winters feel much more cozy.

I ordered the wrong length so I'm returning them and I've ordered the next longer length. Made in China but happy with the quality. Nice soft fabric, well made and finished. I went for the red. It's to go in a doorway to keep cold air from coming into my home office. Return process was a breeze and no reason to expect the new order will be anything but good. Thanks Amazon. If you have flexibility in the exact color shade, this is a good item. If you need to make a specific match, the color is a little different than the picture. The stone blue is a little lighter, as is the dark blue. The dark teal does not look green in the picture, but does have a green hue in person.

The media could not be loaded. I am impressed with what a good value these are. They are soft and the fabric is thick and rich-looking. They seem well made too. They aren’t perfect, but if you’re on a budget like I am, these are pretty great for such a low price. I bought them to cover the backs of some bookshelves that we used to make a book nook and I’m very happy with the soft, rich, draped look that they give. They aren’t perfect - the velvet is slightly streaky-looking, and the grommets are aggressively silver-toned - but they look much better than I thought they would considering the low price. And the grommets could easily be toned down with a touch of antiquing which you can get for a couple of dollars from the craft store. When you take them out of the packaging, yes, they are going to be extremely creased. That’s ok. The creases come out with a quick ironing. Put your iron on the lowest setting or else it will melt the synthetic fabric. Iron them with the flocked side DOWN. Slide the curtains up the ironing board, which will keep the flocking all pointed the same way, and iron only in one direction. Running the iron back and forth will make the flocking look way streakier. I included a video of this technique because I’m not always good at explaining these things. I think these are just great and now I’m walking around my house thinking about where else I could use some. I can also see these being terrific for sewing, like for renaissance outfits or cosplay. They’re just pure yardage with grommets at one end, and they drape so beautifully they’d make gorgeous skirts or dresses. I was really on the fence whether to get these or not and I’m glad I took the chance.

These are seriously fantastic for the price. I must have ordered five different sets of curtains when we first bought our house, and these are by far the nicest, and they happen to be one of the lower-priced options. They are a deep emerald green, and they are decently thick if that’s what you’re going for. When they are pulled shut, they do a fantastic job of blocking out the light. I wouldn’t say everything is completely blacked out, but very close. We are extremely happy with these and will be ordering additional ones for other rooms in our house

I got the red to replace a pair of red velvet blackout curtains from Target. These are so much better. The Target ones were a disaster to wash, came out ruined, so I took a chance on these. The color is great, it's a deeper red but not burgundy, no brown tones to it. Like a darker cherry color. They were slightly wrinkled out of the package but after hanging for a couple days look fine. These block the light extremely well, especially considering how much thinner these are than the Target ones which had a painted on white backing and were stiff. These have a great flow to them, are very soft and are all red, no white paint to be found. I live on a busy street and this blocks the light at night very well. Even during the day my room is very dark with these curtains. Great purchase and the reviews were all true.
