It's really cool looking when it's assembled, but the quality is piss-poor, which I guess can be expected from furniture made of engineered wood. One of the predrilled cam screw anchors came apart after it was already screwed in and attached to the cam lock nut, ripping a 1-inch diameter hole in the side of one of my pieces and rendering it no longer useable, so I had to get creative and abandon the shelf on one side if the cabinet. The fireplace that comes with it comes in a separate shipment and doesn't even seem like it's part of the furniture. It fits fine, but the instructions that come with the fireplace for attaching it don't even seem to mesh with putting it inside this piece of furniture. The fireplace comes with an angle bracket and 4 screws and instructs you to attach the angle bracket to the back-bottom of the fireplace and then screw it into the bottom of the unit. When you do this, it is not fully secure and if you were to push on the top of the fireplace (i.e., to push one of the buttons on the unit), it tilts backward. There are screw holes along the side for attaching it to the front of the unit from behind, but there's so little space between the sides of the fireplace and the inner walls of the unit, you can't get a drill in there to predrill any pilot holes or even fit anything in there to screw the screws in. Another noteable ommission is that this does not come with any covers to hide the cam lock nuts. Previous pieces of furniture I've received typically come with black plastic covers that fit over the cam lock nuts so they're not visible, but these do not come with those. I ended up having to buy some black wood grain adhesive "wallpaper" to cut up and stick over the cam lock nuts so they can't be seen. ... show more

To start I love the way that it looks. The material is particularly board and kinda cheap. Also the instructions are not the best. The pictures and explanation should be better as it would make an easier assemble. It took a few hours to get built and I recommend using a drill to drill pilot holes for the fireplace. Now with that being said I love the look of this. It definitely sets off the living room and brings everything together. It’s very inexpensive to others as well so I have little complaints. ... show more
