A Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner will seal the wood giving it a more consistent finish on top of which the wood stain can then be applied. As the conditioner is water-based, it is easy to clean any brushes or cloths with soap and water. It is also low odour and non-toxic. Always match a water-based conditioner with the same brand of water-based stain, to ensure compatibility. For interior and exterior use. Apply prior to using our Wood Stain or Exterior Wood Stain. Treating the wood with a conditioner will not change the colour of the wood, but it means that the stain will dry slightly lighter once applied as less stain will soak into the more absorbent areas of the wood.
