When buying a desk, it’s important to consider what your goals are. For me this desk was perfect. It’s wide from east to west and slim north to south. I don’t have a lot of space, so for me it’s just right. The accessories like the cup holder are convenient and able to be placed where you wish. Once put together the desk is sturdy and capable to support mounted studio monitors easily. No instability at all. There are a lot of screws in mounting the desk top to the frame but that’s why it’s so sturdy and worth the time it takes to put together. There are two desk tops that make the full tabletop, so if you don’t plan on using the provided pad there will be a crease in the center. After build completion the crease is generally seamless and unnoticeable. The carbon fiber texture is great so whatever you’re going for it’ll look good. The downside to the full mouse pad is if it becomes damaged or eventually needs replaced, it might be a hassle in finding a replacement. Full pads like that aren’t common but the manufacturer might offer replacements. I’ve not checked but something to consider. Over all, personally this desk was a great buy and I have no regrets. The table is very spacious and not many tables have a depth of 29 inches at this price point. (140 not including tax) the desk sized pad is really cool looking and surprisingly high quality. It covers the middle line for anyone who doesnt like two piece tables, and you cant feel it at all. Adequately sturdy. Big caveat for this desk was assembling it. You can't complete the desk without a drill because the holes are not all where they're supposed to be. I used a 1/16th inch drill bit for the holes. ... show more

    • Very Good (not "great") Gaming Desk

I really wish they had a "value" rating I could give for this desk, because for the price it is pretty good as far as "Gaming" desks go. It's a good size and gets the job done decently well....but let's talk about the features that make this a "Gaming Desk" and why it got the ratings it did... -Layout- Nearly all "gaming" desks are big and flat...some will have monitor stands built in, but the vast majority are totally flat surfaces. This one has a cutout in the back for cables to be routed down through and a wide "tummy cut" in the front for added comfort. I'm a skinny guy so the tummy cut doesn't do much for me and is just sort of annoying when laying out my keyboard mat and keeping things even. They have a hook under the desk to hang your headphones from which is placed PERFECTLY if you ask me, but the drink holder is way on the other end of the desk corner. A bit of a reach for short-armed guys, so I usually put it on the top anyways since it's mousepad material. Overall, not much to complain about but a flat surface isn't anything special for ANY kind of desk. -Comfort- The mousepad mat on top is nice and seems decently sturdy. I put my keyboard/mouse and Tartarus gamepad on a Razer Goliathus pad anyways (I like the texture and how it tracks better), but I doubt the desk's material will hinder most people's enjoyment. As I said before, the tummy cut is kind of just annoying and gets in the way of keeping things level. I also don't care for this as it limits your flexibility on monitor placement. Trying to use half the desk for one monitor means the tummy cut limits your arm placement or makes it awkward/impossible to keep either elbow supported right. Being able to adjust the height of the desk higher would have been nice, but at this price I wasn't expecting that and the height is fine. -Stability- Ehhh...this isn't too bad, but I don't do a lot of heavy typing in this setup...it's all for gaming. So aside from mouse movement and my gamepad, the table doesn't see a lot of shaking or impact. I have L-shape desks with less wobble, but almost any desk is going to experience some of that. This one was acceptable for a "gaming desk". -Value- Honestly, I think having some of the features we commonly see in "gaming" desks locked behind that title (and upcharge) is really annoying. The fact that a decently stable, flat surface with a decent amount of desk space is considered "gaming", really perturbs me. The mousepad material on top is nice, but it's not too expensive to get some NICE extended gaming mouse/keyboard mats these days. Unless you want to go full-on DIY like the 8-Bit Guy does, these are your options. Considering the rest of the market for "gaming desks", this is a very good value...it's just the premise of a "gaming desk" in the context of all other computer desks seems kind of ridiculous to me...but is unavoidable for what we're looking for. Yes, I tried the folding table route before, yes, but the wobble was unbearable. It'll get the job done, just don't be underwhelmed as this is the expectation for all "gaming desks" just like with "Gaming Chairs" too. I'll add this was pretty easy to assemble and probably wouldn't be too hard to take apart and move either. All in all, not a bad buy considering what it is. ... show more

I had used a large wooden desk for years. I noticed it started sagging on one side and thought it was time to get something new. My drawers always just accumulated junk, so I wanted a desk without them. This desk was perfect for my situation. I do wish it was at least 6 inches wider to accommodate my PC tower better, but it all fits... just a little cramped. The full desk mouse pad cover is a very nice touch. I do not use the headphone rest, but I do use the cup holder often. I have a "bubba" brand 40oz straw water tumbler and the cup holder is just the right size for it. The tray for cable management was perfect to store my surge protector and get all my cables routed into one place. There are 2 cable holes and covers on each side on the top of the desk, as well as a notch in the middle you could use to route wires as well. This desk takes up MUCH less space than my previous wooden desk. My wife and I share an office, so the extra space was welcome. I would buy this desk again in a heartbeat. ... show more

Honestly, if I was told that this was twice as expensive as it is ,I'd still believe it would be a good deal. At this price it's a steal. Assembly was uneventful. No missing parts or quality issues. Everything lined up and went smoothly even thought the assembly guide was not always as clear as it could have been. If you take care and don't just ignore the instructions, assembly is a breeze. The desk is solidly constructed. I would not dance on top of it, but it holds my equipment(total weight is over 100 lbs.) with no issue and is very stable. It looks quite good as well, very clean and color neutral. Understated graphics are nice and visible but don't overwhelm. Also the desktop mouse pad is solid and thicker than I expected. It even has stitched edges. It unrolled flat immediately, and does not move unless you want it to. Cup holder and headphones hanger are adequate and will do the job for years if they are not abused. Solid value here. Highly recommend. I will be buying at least 2 more of these. ... show more
