Fits comfortably, holds sax away from chest. I have an implanted chemo port, and a standard neck strap rubs on the port. This yoke stans out from my chest, leaving space between it and the port. If it is too long when you get it, just fish the knotted end of the cord out of the anchor poi t and tie another knot (or two) in it (see picture) ... show more

I had seen others with this type of strap and I love that it doesn’t pull on my neck like the others I’ve used in the past. Best investment for an older player who’s body isn’t like it used to be.

works well, like the support, easy to use but if you have a chest/female it doesn't lay as flat as it should with your shoulders

    • Relieves strain on the neck/shoulders
So far, the neck strap works great for relieving the strain on my neck. Used with a tenor saxophone. Only disadvantage seems to be trying to play the Sax on the right side. It tends to be a bit off balance, but not overly so. As for playing in front, it works well. So especially for playing while standing, it woks good. Giving 5 stars mostly because I like how it feels more comfortable and relieves strain! For the price, worth giving it a try, especially with free returns. Can’t complain. (I also have the Van Doren strap, Neo Tech single strap, Neo Tech harness, and a few others. This one so far seems to be winning out…) We’ll see how long it lasts and how durable it is. ... show more

This saxophone shoulder harness, compared to traditional neck straps, offers my son relief from neck tension and seems to encourage better posture--no more slouching under the weight of the saxophone. He’s noticeably more comfortable, and I imagine this will benefit him long-term as he continues to play. The design is intuitive and easy to use. No more adjusting a neck strap EVERY TIME you put it on! It slips on and off quickly, and the shoulder straps lock securely in place. I especially appreciate that the shoulder straps are collapsible--just a push of a button and it folds down for storage. The adjustable cord feels sturdy, and the carabiner-style clip is a nice upgrade from the metal snap hook that appears in the product photos. The clip even has a rubber sheathing around it to prevent scratching the saxophone. One small surprise: the cord lock is gold instead of black, which differs from the product images. It’s a bit flashy for my son’s taste, but not a dealbreaker given the harness’s overall quality. As a petite parent (5'0"), I tested the fit myself and was impressed—the mouthpiece landed at the perfect height when adjusted to its shortest setting. Just keep in mind, it may not adjust far enough for someone shorter or a younger child just learning to play sax. The only real downside is portability. The harness doesn’t fit inside his saxophone case, which makes it inconvenient for school use. It does come with a travel pouch, but we’ll likely keep it at home for practice sessions. Bottom line: If comfort, posture, and instrument safety are priorities, this harness delivers. Just be aware of the size if you’re hoping to store it with your saxophone. ... show more
