I knew these were cheap when I bought them. I even told my fiance, "these are both the cheapest bookshelves I've ever bought AND the cheapest bookshelves I've ever bought" (referring to both the price and the general quality - particle wood and plastic. But they were THE PERFECT SIZE for a spot that I wanted to add a bookshelf so I bought 2 of them and hoped for the best. A day later I ordered 4 more (!!!). Yes, they're cheap. But they actually look pretty good when they're assembled and if you're not putting priceless antiques on them, which I'm not, they work quite fine and hold up to some pretty decent weight (i.e. books, a few reams of printer paper, etc.). I honestly expected to be returning these when I bought them, would NEVER have expected to essentially triple my order, and would have called anyone a liar if they said I'd be leaving a 5-star review. Love the color and easy assembly. The quality is fair and the product is reasonably priced. I use the shelving unit for some plants, books, and a few bottles. Given the uncertainty of warping overtime, I simply placed my heavier objects closer to the edges. One month later, this product is as good as new. ... show more

I ordered this and was leary because of other reviews. Firstly, BOTH sides have a wood type veneer, although the body is pressed board. The tubing is cheaply made. Everything screws together because the tubes have male and female threaded ends, which made the assembly a breeze (no tools). One of my female threaded tubes was very wonky shaped, but surprisingly, it threaded up and became straight. This is only rated to hold 15lbs per shelf, which is ok for thr purpose I bought it for (plant stand). It coukd have been made better, but will do. Once assembled, the measurements between the upright posts are 19 3/4" wide and the height of the lower shelves are 13 1/2" tall. Will even fit 2 cloth cubes between the last shelves. ... show more

This product is sturdy enough to support your printer/printers. As you can see with my pictures, I have 2 printers on it. As I was saying, the stand is sturdy enough to support my 2 printers, but it is, at the same time wobbly when you try to feed papers into a printer. I just got it today therefore I cannot say how long it'll last, but I can safely say that this table is not for those of you with small kids. They will rattle the stand, and break it even, if they shake it with force. But, it does the job for me. I do not have any kids in the house, They're all grown, and out of the house. I still will take a chance to recommend it to those that need something affordable for a time, with no kids in the house. Watch the grandkids when they visit. ... show more

Not eligibile forbeetirn has to be the most f-ed up of Amazon tactics yet on a shoddy product they keep mass selling. I had originally given it 3 stars but that was too generous. It is completely unstable because the poles that were hard to screw in in the first place never caught on to each other. As a result not only is it rickety but it has oddly bent to one side just from its own weight. Now here’s what I don’t like - the unit I received had worn edges on all 3 shelves and has a big scratch on the finished surface right in the center of one of the shelves. I also found it hard to get the plastic tubes on until I realized that you kind of have to force them in sometimes because the threading won’t catch. Maybe there were spots where the threading was stripped. I have to deduct stars for that. ... show more

If you are looking for a stylish and attractive, inexpensive bookcase or storage space but you are not inclined to want to take on the daunting task of the usual assembly with all those little screws and parts, then this is the perfect choice. No tools required. I wish I had timed myself when I put it together because I am sure it took less than five minutes to screw the poles together with a few turns of my wrist and then placing the plastic caps on the top. I needed additional space for cosmetics and misc. sundries and I already had the baskets so I was able to repurpose them. Mu baskets are 11" x 10" each. This attractive bookcase/multipurpose storage shelving unit fits perfect next to my vanity sink and hides all the overflow I needed to store without junking up the area. It arrived promptly, was well packaged and protected in shipping but not overly wrapped or difficult to unpack, is attractive and was reasonably priced. What more could you want for the price! I bought the cherry finish with black pole and it looks exactly as pictured on the Amazon site. I love it! ... show more

Not good. I assumed the material would be cheaper considering the price. But man, I can use just layers of cheap cardboard box and make sure they stay together with electrical tape around the edges. Then the packaging wasn't there. I think that they need to protect the cheaply made item so that by the time it gets to the consumer, it'll have no damage. The product came with smushed corners and one corner was smushed where the pole goes, so I know after I put it together and add weight it'll just continue to crumble. Not satisfied. ... show more

I was pleased that the shelving unit arrived early, however I was disappointed in that there was minor damage to one of the shelves. It appears that instead of receiving a brand new, unopened shelving unit, I received one that was opened and returned due to the minor damage. The legs were sealed in a bag with tape instead of the glued sealed bag that is normally used. Other than that, the shelving unit is fine. Otherwise, I decided to keep it because I could turn the damaged side away into the corner and it was still structurally stable. I love the color and I needed this shelving unit.
