It’s cheap. It’s not going to be made with oak. It’s press board and plastic. But it’s sturdy. Was quick and easy to put together. Though I did have problems with the instructions, it was easy to figure out. There is a screw goes in the top shelf you have to use a screw driver to lock it. Okay, here’s the deal. This thing is GREAT for the price you pay. I mean it really doesn’t get much cheaper than this. It’s fairly sturdy, I trust my 32” tv and maybe a few gaming systems to fit nicely and safely on its shelves. That said, it is still held together with 6 screws, 1 metal cab and a bunch of plastic, so make of it what you will. I definitely would not trust a larger television on this, and I wouldn’t lean with my full body weight on it. I also probably wouldn’t choose this if I had small children or destructive pets. It’s not just going collapse out of nowhere but if it takes abuse I doubt it will last. It’s pretty small but that is exactly what I wanted. Read the description first to see if the size fits your needs. I will say, make sure you have a TV with a center base, or are willing to buy a center base. This TV came with 2 separate legs about 23” apart. It did not fit on the table with those legs (I wanted a swivel base anyway and bought one the same day I bought this, no big deal) All of the above “flaws” I was fully prepared for because I read the description, and I wouldn’t expect much else for a $25 table. You get what you pay for and in this case it works out it your favor. I was pretty disappointed that the paint/acrylic coating on the back didn’t even cover the full way around on the back. Luckily for one, it’s the back, no one is going to see that ish; and two, I had some black acrylic paint lying around to give me some peace of mind. This is a super nice little corner type tier shelf unit. Stores all my game consoles nicely and was pretty decent to assemble. Lot of reviews said that the holes and screws didn’t line up the best but I never had that issue myself. Nice little height since my game room uses a futon so is super close to the ground which makes this not too tall for that. Top shelf even holds up to 50lbs so my retro block tv being 21ish lbs holds nice. Buy with confidence! The lack of holes does make it a little cluttered for the setup but you can tie them around the back if you have it in a corner like me and it works just fine. Okay, let's get right to the most important part: this is cheap furniture. Do not think that you are going to luck out and get high quality for low price. You will, however, get presentable and functional. Assembly: The product blurb says that this is "Easy no tool assembly, even a kid can do it." Well, it is easy. But you are going to require a Phillips head screwdriver and a flashlight (to line up the holes for the screws to attach the back panel and to attach the screw post, aka 'mini fix bolt', into the top ). And unless your kid has the upper body strength of an adult, they are not going to be able to assemble this. Follow the directions (including assembling it on the opened-out cardboard container) and it will go quickly. Screwing the tubes into one another, however, takes a bit of muscle. Fit and finish: All the parts fit pretty well. The screw holes in the shelves line up nicely with the holes in the back panel. The screws are trumpet head streakers and the back panel does not have countersunk holes, so the screws will not sit flush against the surface of the back panel. And because the meat of the shelves is particle board, I would not suggest than anyone try to make them fit flush or you risk stripping out the holes. I would also suggest using an old-school, hand-held screwdriver and not an electric one, for the same reason. This is not beautiful furniture, but it certainly is acceptable. The top caps for the plastic legs protrude above the surface, so the top is not flat, AND can only be put in finger tight. Other stuff: I am using this on medium pile carpeting and with a television that is a bit larger larger than suggested. It seems to be sitting fairly solidly with little to no wiggle. The shelf openings are 6 3/8 inches tall and 18 3/8 inches between the posts. Be sure to measure your components before ordering (I use an old tube amplifier/receiver and it JUST fits). Overall: Reasonable quality and appearance for the price point. ... show more

I put the low-quality particle board stand together. The back had mismatched removal of some of the lamination that the backboard was supposed to line up with. The unit back board lock nut stripped out and took a large chunk of wood with it. To top it off; two insects crawled out of the box when I was disassembling the broken cabinet for my return.
