Pretty easy to assemble. Easy instructions to follow and it tells you exactly what you need in each step. My son loves this shelf especially since it has the little cabinet at the bottom. Definitely a good shelf for how much was spent on it!

It was easy to assemble, but the drawers at the bottom are hard to open and close. They have to be lined up just right, or they both will not close. It holds up all my daughters books, so makes it easy to store them.

The media could not be loaded. It was really easy to set up, but it had a few scratches already which weren’t too difficult to hide. It’s able to hold my heavy PC without a problem. The only issue I ran into was the drawers not wanting to stay on. There aren’t any holes for the top of the hinges, so it just kind of falls out sometimes. Pretty easy to put back in though so I don’t care. If you care more about usability than aesthetics, you could probably buy a better shelf with this much money. I bought this shelf to store my daughter’s toys in the living room. I wish I had spent a little more money to get a better quality shelf. It looks good from a distance but looks cheaper and cheaper the closer you get. Fresh out of the box the panels’ colored layers were wearing, chipping, and not adhered properly. The screw and dowel holes on the top and side panels didn’t line up properly so I had to force them together. I was given a nail with fins and didn’t realize it until I tried to use it. So I was down a nail. The knobs for the doors have sharp ridges - not good for tiny hands. I’ll have to file those down. The knobs are near impossible to screw on. There’s no good way to grip them and if you try to hold them with pliers, the pliers slip and strip the paint. So the knobs are loosely screwed on and spin around and around. Lastly, I was missing an L bracket for the bottom panel. It can take almost 2 weeks to get replacement hardware from the manufacturer. The shelf will function (mostly) and serve its purpose but it wasn’t worth the time and hassle. I knew this was a cheap shelf but I honestly expected better than this. Long story short, don’t waste your time or money on this thing. The ONLY reason I’m not returning it is because it isn’t worth my time to disassemble it. ... show more

I purchased this for my son's nursery, to use as extra storage for a few toys, books and to display little things that go along with the outer space theme in his room. It was super cheap, and there wasn't really any reviews yet, so I was a bit hesitant, but since the price was so low, I went ahead and bought it. The instructions were a little hard to follow and I think one step was left out, so it took a little thinking to figure it out, but overall wasn't too difficult to. The main thing that threw me off was trying to figure out which screws went where in a couple steps, but it wasn't a huge issue. I did accidentally tack on the back panels backwards (blue painted side obviously needs to be put on facing downwards lol...that was my fault). Oh and at the very bottom, the board that goes across the front right underneath the cabinets - it was kind of wobbly with just the screws attached that the instructions gave, so I added an extra screw on each side for support to make it more sturdy. Overall, I'm pleased with the final result! It looks perfect in my son's room and was very affordable! As long as you have a drill, hammer and some time to invest, you're good to go! ... show more
