This unit was very easy to install. Make sure you connect through a battery cutoff switch as it will draw current when your boat is not in use. Also, the 2020 model does not come with a foot control and cannot be controlled from your phone. Overall, awesome product and looks cool on the boat!

Should have installed this years ago. My boat dealer warned me that these are out of style and that I should go with a spot lock trolling motor instead. I am glad I insisted on the Talon. (I tend to fish in calm shallow water.) On my boat a trolling motor would be in the way when not in use and and cause me to have to rig up a secondary battery location. ... show more

Thanks to the seller my new Minn Kota arrived a day early allowing me to get an early start on installation. The box arrived undamaged and my product securely cradled in side. This was installed onto a Tracker Pro Guide V-16 SC. I did a flush mount to the transom per Tracker recommendation. Stuck on the ocean is not fun, keep this in mind when purchasing, no one will respond to returning product, however very easy to install. Not easy to move boat when stuck in the down position. My boat is damaged and no refund from anyone
