This is actually the second one of these ottomans that I've purchased, and I had the first one for over 5 years. It was still perfectly functional, but one of our cats decided that it was a better scratching post than her actual scratching post was, so it was looking pretty rough by the time we decided to replace it. We were going to just reupholster the original but pricing upholstery made us decide that it would cost about the same amount to just buy a new one. The old one is now in the garage being used for storage. The ottoman is very quick and easy to "assemble" (there's no actual assembly is necessary, you just fold it open, insert the bottom piece, and pop the lid on), very roomy, and a comfortable place to rest your feet. There's a decent amount of padding on top and the ottoman itself is made of upholstered plywood, so very sturdy. I weigh more than 170 pounds and can sit on it with no problem. The interior is roomy enough and the entryway big enough that even our maine coon can enjoy a nap inside, and the soft, padded bottom is removable to make cleaning easier if necessary. Since this is my second one, it probably goes without saying that it's a product I would recommend, and I'll probably end up getting another at some point if my cats trash this one. ... show more

The little dogs loved it. Didn't so much play with the toy, but some did. Problem was, one of the bigger dogs loved it too, lol. He could barely squeeze himself in there, but he was just a puppy then, eventually he grew too big and it ripped. His brother chewed on it too, so it won't withstand a chewer for long. ... show more

These are sturdy & strong! The cats use them as scratching posts - which is great! They sleep on it & in it. I have one beside the bed for my two cats to use to get on the bed. I have two in the living room. One I use as a footstool & the cats have use of both of them. The first one I bought is over a year old & still going strong! My cat is not using it as intended in the pictures but he does like it. The color is very pretty and quality seems to be good. However, this thing has some plastic smell when I first took it out of the packaging. I was going to not assemble it and let it air out for a few days, but the cat couldn’t wait so I put it together for him. He immediately declared ownership. I have had a few foot rests similar to this )the ones you can fold flat). This one is very sturdy and not wobbly at all compare to the other ones I had previously. I bought this for my elderly cat. She has become overweight due to a bad back and jumping is hard for her if its to high. I didn’t have room for stairs or a ramp so this worked perfectly as it supports her weight, she’s able to jump onto it and then jump onto the bed. It’s much better for her getting off the bed as well, it’s safer and it doesn’t cause her any pain. I highly recommend this product. It holds her weight and she is now 25 to 27 pounds.
