The sofa’s base is topped with a layer of cooling gel infused memory foam and features a medical-grade foam core for better support and value. Micro gel beads help keep the bed cooler while memory foam conforms to your pet's shape providing superior support of joints and pressure points. Gel foam has cooling properties reducing the sleeping surface by 1 or 2 degrees, wicking heat away from your pet. This bed features a zippered, removable cover to keep the bed fresh and washed. 100% polyester cover is made in China. CertiPUR-US® certified foam core is made in the USA. Easy to clean. Cover care: Remove from core before washing (see seam label for fabric care instructions). Foam care: Cooling gel foam is highly absorbent. Spot clean with mild soap or enzyme-based cleaning spray. So... I have two 65 lb. Pittie’s and they generally don’t tear things up that aren’t meant to be torn up. Dog toys and such have a short shelf life, but outside of the puppy stage the furniture and most items around the house are safe. For that reason, I thought the two new Furhaven beds I bought them were safe. Nope, for some unknown reason I was gone for a morning and I came home to find one shredded. Ugh. To say I was pissed is a massive understatement. I was seriously ready to kill them. They were “this close” to being... passed on! No more! Ceased to be! Expired and gone to meet their maker! Stiffs! Bereft of life, and resting in peace! Pushing up the daisies! Their metabolic processes being history! Off the twig! Kicked the bucket, and shuffled off their mortal coils, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THEY WERE THIS CLOSE TO BEING EX-PITTIES!! After a bit of yelling and screaming and putting the fear of dog in them cooler heads prevailed. It took me a couple of days to summon the energy to clean up the pieces of the bed, but in doing so realized that I just might be covered under the Furhaven “Worry-Free 60 Day Program”... and I was. I contacted Furhaven and emailed them photos of what was left of the bed and they sent me a new replacement. Thank You Furhaven. As the beds go they are really nice. I purchased two of the: Furhaven Pet Bed for Dogs and Cats - Plush and Velvet Waves Perfect Comfort Sofa-Style Cooling Gel Foam Dog Bed, Removable Machine Washable Cover - Granite Gray, Large ( Item / model number: ‎88449537) For my two 65 lb. Pitbulls these large beds are a perfect size. They easily fit one to one and a half dogs, and since my younger 5-year-old female has no concept of personal space they are often both found in one of the beds together. The quality seems fine... unless your Pitbulls are on a, ummm, tear. They are nice and soft. About the only thing I can think of, only word of advice is to maybe take them apart and wash them once a month. When the one got shredded it prompted me to wash the one that wasn’t and it was dirtier inside on the foam and cooling gel bit than I thought it would be. At first not impressed with the packaging. It was bursting at the seams so I was very skeptical and thought this may have been a previously returned item they were shipping off to me. But the foam bed was still in its vacuum sealed bag. Embarrassed to say it took me a few minutes to figure out the bolster goes in a compartment on the inside that has a zipper to hold in in. My dog knew the bed was for her because she kept trying to get on it as I was trying to figure out how to put it together. Needless to say as you can see by the pictures, she LOVES her bed. It is HUGE! Wasn’t expecting that. It has a very soft velvety feel to it and super plush. Very impressed by this bed. Expensive splurge but very much worth it. She deserves to be comfortable as she is not a young pup anymore -my girl is 11 years now. Would highly recommend. If you don’t have a lot of space for the bed don’t get the XL. Not necessary. My dog is a medium size dog, about 50lbs and this bed would easily fit 2 dogs her size. ... show more

Great size for my dog with room to spare. (I got the XL size). Quality appears to be good and the material is very soft. The padding holds his weight well and is not too soft. Don’t know yet about the cooling pad if it really keeps him cool, guess we will see. It is priced right and would recommend!

This bed is absolutely huge and well made. The size and shape are as shown and the feel of the foam and support are great. I have actually been in this bed with my large dog on more than one occasion. It does feel cooler to the touch and while I have not removed the cover and washed it, I have spot cleaned it in a few places and it still looks good as new. It is expensive but does not bottom out on hip or knees (myself) and my dog loves her new bed. She sometimes goes to sleep in it even before we turn in for the night. Highly recommend a bed like this for training and providing your dog a safe place to sleep that is also big enough to go belly-up and roll over in. The bolster cushions support her head and neck if she wants. The front cut-out allows her to hang her head outside onto the cool wood floor when she wants also. Highly recommend this bed, but make sure you measure it out before ordering. The XXL is really XXL!!! ... show more

So far so good. My dog is a little picky when it comes to beds, often he chooses the floor (in the summer). He immediately walked to the new bed, seems to like it so far. I'm excited to see if he chooses this one over the floor on hotter days b/c it does say that it has the cooling pad, not so sure how well it will work. The material is amazingly soft and feels very sturdy. It was easy to put together so I anticipate that it will be easy to take a part for cleaning. The cover does not feel very thick, in terms of protecting the mattress, so I hope that's not an issue going forward. The mattress states it can only be spot cleaned which I'm not thrilled about but knew before I purchased. This is the basis for me removing a star, I just don't anticipate the cover actually 'stink protecting' the mattress at all. I ordered the Jumbo size for my 50lbs Red Heeler, Walker Treeing Coonhound mix. I went a size up b/c he likes to spread out sometimes; I definetly suggest doing the same if your pup does this too. I'm glad I sized up. I'm very happy with the purchase and if I find that the cover does actually protect the mattress I will revise the four stars to five. ... show more

I am trying to find a way to keep our dog cool on the boat. Sookie likes the bed- it is super soft and looks really nice. I wanted her to be able to stretch out but I probably could have ordered the smaller one. This is the 20x30” for up to 35lb. Sookie is 10lb and 12” from collar to base of tail.
