I have never purchased the heavy duty cases because I'm not prone to dropping my phone. I bought this one because it offered protection but it also has Extra Protection by the fact you can slide the piece across your camera and protect your camera when not in use and also has the little stand on the back which is kind of handy. I bought the black top with the rose gold because that's what color my phone is and it's very attractive and not too heavy. I make sure to have a screen protector on at all times (I've saved myself a few cracked screens by having that). This case looks ok. The problem is the magnetic ring is offset from the wireless charging location for this model. The magsafe plug when attached is offset to the extent that it will not charge. This is terribly disappointing. What a waste of time and money.
