So cute! You do have to glue every single book together as well. If you don’t mind doing that then I recommend! Definitely takes some time to do, good value for the money, light works.

  • Much parts! Many Glue! Much parts! Many Glue!
This kit is very nice. 217 pieces according to the Box. You will need to glue everything! I'll admit, I was a little dismayed when I realized that the books had to be covered with paper covers glued to the wood.. for whatever reason I assumed that they would be stickers, but I wanted something to wile away the cold winter hours and boy this is it. I build a lot of RC airplanes and model rockets, and I would have to say that these are some of the nicest laser cut parts that I have ever seen. No burns or scorching, and the gaps are miniscule. I almost messed up a few times, you really need to pay attention to the instructions which are pictoral and not written.. for example, part L15 uses the paper part 18, and I caught myself using the paper part 15. It would have been nice to see the two parts with the same number but it's not too hard to keep it straight. I had some Tamiya NATO Brown (XF68) and used it to paint some of the pieces because the printing is only on one side. It's a very close match. I don't think anybody's going to see this thing except me, but I know it's there. Highly recommended. Edit: I kinda lost interest after making all the little stuff, but it's been raining here so I finished up today. I'm beyond happy with it. ... show more

  • The light didn't worked
Very good and fun to assemble alone or with family. The light inside never worked.

  • Awesome weekend project! Lots and lots of patience!!!! Awesome weekend project! Lots and lots of patience!!!!
I absolutely LOVED doing this little project. Took me two days (about 6-7 hours each). I’m very detailed, so I was very careful gluing my pieces together. A bit of a perfectionist too because I wanted it to look exactly like the one in the box :) Overall, I give this 4.7 out of 5. Why? It does not include glue. Some pieces are very hard to take out (just a few). The tape to hold the wires does not stick as much, so I ended up gluing the wires too. There’s a small hole in the back where a ‘music movement piece’ was supposed to be install but it says ‘purchase separately’ (page 12- step 2). That would’ve been awesome to add. I look forward to making a few of these more. I think this is a great activity to do with teens. Teaches them patience, attention to details, self control, and much more. And let’s face it, looks so cute next to books. ^_^. ... show more

  • Beautiful hobby!
The kit makes it very easy to follow instructions. The process is soothing for me, because I am building something with my hands, without complications. It takes time, but the finished project is absolutely worth it. I have one on my bookshelf, and have given a few away as gifts.

  • Wouldn’t buy this brand again. Wouldn’t buy this brand again.
This was my second book nook, but my first by this company. (Previously I had done Roliyfe and thought it was amazing). I won’t be buying from this brand again. The build was quick — did it in one long evening. But the quality just wasn’t there 1. Almost every piece that touched another piece required glue. Nothing just fit. You have to buy your own glue by the way, but you spend a lot of time holding poor-fitting pieces in place to make sure they dry at the right angle. 2. So. Much. Paper. Everything was paper and glue. 3. I used an exacto as they recommended to re-cut the precut balsamic board pieces and I still had somewhere between 5-10 break as I took them out. 4. There are several 3-D pieces you put together but they didn’t make sure to put paint/print on both sides of the pieces (see the attached telescope for example) so it looks half-finished. 5. I included a photo of printing errors — on at least one sheet all the printing was off, the pictures were super blurred, and I couldn’t read the numbers. 6. The build directions were clear enough, but there were a couple of errors and a couple steps that were just unnecessarily hard. 7. Just picked it up again to move and the bottom fell off. Again. Like I said, if you don’t glue it, it’s not even gonna pretend to stay together. All in all, it ended up cute, and anyone who didn’t put it together won’t notice the pieces that were broken or didn’t fit etc without a super close look. But the whole point of these for me is how meditative it is to put them together, but this one just pissed me off. ... show more

  • This was so fun to build This was so fun to build
You will need to put away a few hours or maybe days to finish this. me and my girlfriend spent two days doing this with probably 10-12 hours of work. you don't need to use special glue or anything like that we used a bottle of Elmer's glue and it turned out just fine. I did 3d print a few thing since this photo was taken and painted them and included them which added a little more personalization to it, this was straightforward to build and we had a blast putting on a movie to watch and putting it together and I think it turned out pretty well ... show more
