  • Very Happy Beginner
So my ADHD brain decided that I wanted to lean how to play bass. I was locked in on an Ibanez or a Yamaha, but my wife gave me a budget to deal with since I have this tendency to be really into something for a couple months and then it peter out. I went with the Ibanez style bass because I prefer the look over the Strat, and the blue is a cool funky color. I have not had it professionally looked at, but from what I can tell it is set up pretty good out of the box. It is prone to fret rattle, but some of that is user error while plucking. The frets don't stick out and the neck is rather smooth with very few rough spots. Overall I am very impressed by this bass. ... show more

  • I couldn’t be happier with this bass. Super sexy!!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love the color, I found no issues with the paint finish. The neck has such a nice wood grain to it. The dark roast is beautiful. I will change the hardware with something more substantial, but for beginners or on the cheap is just fine and functional. I have smaller hands and the feel and playability is still really good, like an older 60’s style bass, which I love. The tone of the pickups and electronics is standard for a pj, if you have enough wattage behind it, it’ll sound like any other high end . I love it! The truss is easy to adjust the bridge saddles are easy as well. 👍👍. This will be my new go to bass. It comes with the tools needed to make your own adjustments. Check YouTube for bass setup to learn. Every guitarist needs to know how to do this!!! ... show more

  • Concerns/ expected more for the price point.
Color: Black
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Before wrapping decided I'd better open it up and check it out. Found it wasn't put together properly. Had to undo screws and secure them myself. Concerns stem from not knowing how long it'll last knowing the screws may be loose after having to remove and screw back into the same holes. Hope it holds up for her. Not happy with the build quality at all. Also, you can see some I finished areas in the wood. ... show more

  • Better than a Fender?
Beautiful bass, neck is thinner, not a bat easy playing.

  • Modder beware!
Be aware if you plan to use this as a mod platform, parts wont fit, tuners and a new neck were a nightmare to install, if you buy this for a beginner or to throw around, it is fine, if you look at this as a platform to mod, it will be a pain. **UPDATE** Had to go back to the old neck, it just was a nightmare to keep in tune. Had to file some fret edges. Good thing is that you will not feel bad for modding it. ... show more
