I'm using it with a viscous bamboo cooling mattress cover. It's firmer than I was used to but apparently that is a good thing for my back and shoulders. I don't end up inches from the floor if I sit on the edge of it like was happening with my two thousand dollar mattress store "deal." Buying mattresses in person is scary and buying them online is maybe worse. Hopefully you'll be as happy as I am. Back pain was better but had to get a pillow top mattress pad to help hips which eased some but not enough body contouring fit. If you want full extra firm feel this is for you. I have hips and it doesn’t help for that.
