This 14" mattress is super comfortable. It came rolled up. We laid it on our bed frame, pulled each layer of plastic off and it unrolled and expanded ready for use. We thought it would need hours to expand, but it was instant. I am extremely sensitive to smell and it had no odor. This mattress is firm but has enough flexibility for comfort while laying on our sides, rolling over, or on our backs. We've only had it for a few days but it's wonderful so far. The edges are soft so when you slide off of the bed there is a gentle sloping. It's nice that way because of the softness, no hard edges.
