    • Some extra parts required for 99 Cherokee.
The trick to this radiator is knowing ahead of time the possible need for another part to make it work. Though this particular radiator will fit se eral different years and models, I purchased it for my 99 keep Cherokee. Although it arrived early, I spent several extra days tryingto figure out how to connect the lower trans cooling line. I looked all over the valley at every auto parts house known to man, nobody could help me. Reading one of the reviews, a customer mentioned the same problem so I looked it up and what buyers need to know when ordering this product for their 99 Cherokee 4.0 is that they will also need to order Dormant part #624-224 to make it work. Other than that, the product is awesome. Fits right in and my Cherokee has not even gotten anywhere near hot even in these triple digit temperatures here in the Coachella Valley. I'm talking 118° +. So far so good...my only complaint would be that I wish it came with the fittings for the trans. cooler. It was a pain to find a 90 degree fitting for my Jeep Cherokee with the proper threads.

The stuffing for the packaging could be a little better first one we received was damaged returned no problems second one came the box was broken through by the product but the product was not damaged

    • Don't waste your money
Radiator has 5/8-18 fitting holes for transmission cooler lines. Can't find any fittings to mate up to stock 92 Cherokee. My car was listed in the compatible range but it doesn't even come close to being a drop in installation. I have ended up plugging the trans cooler ports and bypass. Had to buy an aftermarket cooler to install so another $120 just to get this radiator working. Poor packaging and the petcock was broken upon arrival. Plastic petcock so pretty cheap. One of the small studs on the top twisted off with just a bit of pressure from a 1/4" wrench. Really cheap radiator. Had I known the pain that was associated with the trans cooler, would have never ordered it. Save your money. ... show more

    • Lasted a little over 8 years
Installed this on my 88XJ back in the summer of 2016. I had to do some mods to get it to fit, but that's ok...its a jeep, it's what we do. It started leaking in December of 2024. And, FYI, it didn't solve the notorious 4.0 overheating problem. Especially here in the Arizona summer heat. I'm gonna try the 4-row radiator next. ... show more

My 96 Jeep radiator developed a leak. Hubby ordered this. It fit nicely and so far so good. One thing.....no fittings came with the radiator so plan accordingly.
