Measure the length and width of the surface to be covered, If the surface shape is complex one, sketch a rough outline of it in a notebook and write measurements for each part of the outline on your sketch. 3.Cut the wallpaper to the desired size using grid lines.It is recommended to leave a margin of 2 inch on each side for later adjustment. 4.Attach the contact paper to the surface. 5.press begining from the center to the outer part,eliminating the remaining backing paper little by little. 6.Use a card to smooth the contact paper to avoid wrinkles and air bubbles. 7.After the first roll is pasted, when the second roll is pasted, the two rolls are overlapped and pasted about 5mm. 8.Trim away the edges and then enjoy your time. I bought this because I was decorating my husbands studio with his comic books and collectibles. I thought a blue square would make the comics stand out on the wall. I did not want to paint it and then decide I didn’t like it since. Lack is hard to paint over. I bought this wallpaper which was very easy to use and stuck well. The only issue I had was it was not perfectly lined up at the top so as I was installing it a mm seam appeared about three feet down. I can pull it off and reapply but I was lazy and just patched it with another piece. I will readjust in the future but for now it looks really good. I moved into a condo that had not updated anything since the 70s including the metal cabinets with formica doors. I can't renovate the kitchen right now but I could give it a make-over for under 200! Easy to use. I did by the recommended wallpaper hanging kit with the exacto blade and smoothers. Absolutely love this contact paper! I've used several different styles and brands for all types of projects and this is my favorite. I used it to cover the nearly impossible to paint cabinets in my RV. PROS: -Color has been consistent from order to order.- Slight texture gives it a painted look and hides slight imperfections.- Handy gridlines on the back help keep your cuts straight.- Thick enough to be durable yet thin enough to take corners and flexible to work with. - If you need to pull it up after a misalign, it comes up fairly easily. Also remains in place and stays stuck once you apply pressure. CONS:- I really don't have any complaints. After reading some other reviews it could be user error.
