Quality product and well made. The turbine is light & easy to carry. I decided to go with the Q4 over the Q3 mainly due to the extra PSI output (6.5 vs 9.0). The hose is durable and easy to connect to the sprayer. Once turned on the Q4 is very quiet compared to the normal 20 gallon air compressor I use to use. I would highly recommend the flexible extension hose. I paint kitchen cabinets and furniture. Being able to get in the creases and inside the cabinets is way easier with the flex hose than the normal hose. The spray gun is easy to use and easy to clean. The adjustable knob allows for very little over spray. I mainly use water base paints and polyurethanes - my finishes are very sharp and clean! This is the fourth sprayer that I have purchased/owned over the years and I should have invested in this from the start. I purchased it to spray furniture. The finish on a sprayed piece is far superior to brushing or rolling. This sprayer sprays so evenly. I just bought a Fuji Q4 hvlp sprayer to apply Epifanes Clear Varnish to a complex outdoor bench (Lutyens) and can report that it worked great. I'm using the Epifanes spray thinner, but have been reminded by Doug Theobalds at Epifanes that Naptha works just fine. It actually says this on the can, but I guess I don't read directions well enough :) The coats go on thinner, so you will need more coats, but this is made up for by the speed of application. I just sprayed 7 bench slats at once in around 10min. It took longer to clean the sprayer. I rolled and tipped this bench first and made a mess. The sags and runs took forever to sand off. No runs with the sprayer. Naptha, btw, evaporates faster than mineral spirits. This is needed when you spray. Again, Doug Theobalds at Epifanes suggests thinning no more than 15% with the sprayer. The Q4 sprayer had no issues with the stock 1.3mm tip. ... show more
