Description

The Q5 PLATINUM is the most powerful Fuji Spray system. This 5-stage turbine motor develops approximately 9 5 psi. The additional power allows the user to apply their finish faster and with less time spent on preparation of materials. Incorporated into its design is a proprietary Heat Dissipation Chamber (HDC). The HDC expels excess heat from the turbine, resulting in much cooler operating temperatures. Less heat translates to longer motor life for your turbine. Supplied with the Fuji T-70 non-bleed spray gun with pattern control knob - the fan size is adjustable from small to large, and everything in between (fully incremental). The benefit of non-bleed is that air only passes through the spray gun when the trigger is pulled, resulting in less blowing around of shop dust and less paint buildup on the tip of the fluid nozzle. Obtain a professional finish with all known coatings. The Fuji T-70 is also equipped with a 1Qt bottom feed cup. The standard air cap set is the general purpose 3 (1 3mm) for fine finishing with lacquers, enamels, polyurethanes, latex, water based coatings and more. Easy to maintain. Perfect for professional or beginner. This is an industrial-rated machine at an unbeatable price. Heavy-duty metal case with gun holder. Portable and powerful. Complete system includes the Q5 PLATINUM turbine, T-Model spray gun with 1Qt cup, 25ft hose with quick-connect, air control valve, user manual, viscosity cup, wrench, cleaning brush and the 5-for-5 bonus kit; consisting of a 6' whip hose, wet film gauge, 19-pc spray gun cleaning & maintenance kit with lubricant, extra turbine filter and "Always Measure" booklet - record your material preparation and results. This unit is for North American 120V plug only. For 220V capacity please contact Fuji Spray directly.

  • Best System for painting cabinets and more
Pattern Name: Spray System
As a professional painter, I’ve used several HVLP systems over the years, but the Fuji Q5 Platinum paired with the 2Qt Pressure Cup stands out as one of the most powerful and reliable setups I’ve worked with. Power & Precision: The Q5 Platinum offers 9.5 PSI of pressure, giving me excellent atomization even with high-viscosity coatings like lacquers, urethanes, and even some thicker cabinet paints. The variable speed control is a huge advantage—it lets me fine-tune the turbine pressure based on the material and surface, helping reduce overspray and waste. 2Qt Pressure Cup: The pressure-fed 2-quart cup is a game-changer for larger jobs. It allows for continuous spraying without constantly refilling, and because it's pressure-fed, I can spray in any direction—even upward—without worrying about material flow issues. It's also helped me get a smoother, more consistent finish on vertical surfaces. Build Quality & Noise: The build is solid, professional-grade. It feels like a long-term investment. While the turbine is powerful, it’s surprisingly quiet thanks to the noise-reduction technology built into the Q-series Drawbacks: The system is not cheap, and the pressure cup setup requires careful cleaning and maintenance to prevent clogs. But if you're in this business seriously, it's well worth it for the performance and finish quality it delivers. Final Verdict: The Fuji Q5 Platinum with the 2Qt Pressure Cup is ideal for professionals who demand top quality finishes on cabinets, furniture, or fine woodworking. It’s powerful, precise, and efficient—highly recommended for serious painters and finishers. ... show more

  • Super spray system - excellent finish quality, easy cleaning & setup
Pattern Name: Spray System
I've tried spraying in the past and always had mixed results in terms of the finish quality. This is night & day different. The finish quality coming out of this system is as good as any professional or factory paint job. I could easily match the custom cabinet finish when changing the color the cabinetmaker sprayed. Of course high quality paints are a must - Sherwin or Benjamin for sure. It was easy to setup and learning how to use it was a simple matter of reading the directions and watching a couple of YT videos - FujiSpray has several and of course there are tons of others who show how to use the system with different paints. Cleanup is pretty easy too. Some of my earlier tries with other spray systems it seemed to take as long to cleanup as it did to paint. Cleaning up an HVLP system is just cleaning the gun and the Fuji guns are pretty simple to clean. For even faster & simpler cleanup I went with 3M's PPS (2.0) system. Not only can you skip cleaning the cup (the PPS cup is resealable/reusable or can be disposed of) but you can cap the PPS liner and have the ability to do touch-ups anytime without having to mix or thin the paint. Just store the leftover lines upside down so the filter screen doesn't dry out. Also, the system's gun comes with a 1.3 spray tip which is a great all-purpose tip but getting a 1.8 would be good if you want to spray latex without needing to over-thin. This isn't a cheap system for someone who's used to looking at the airless sprayers at the big box stores but there's a world of difference between the finish quality and ease of use vs. those airless guns. It's a case of getting a professional tool to get professional results. There are even more expensive pro tools out there but this is a good sweet spot for value and quality. ... show more

  • I'm almost a professional sprayer now :-)
Pattern Name: Spray System
I'm a builder and instead of purchasing 30k of kitchen cabinets for my own home, decided to order the casework, doors, drawers..etc from individual suppliers knowing I'd have a lot of finishing to do. I'm not without skills but I was a little apprehensive to get going on all the spraying..there was much to figure out with the viscosities of the paints, air pressures, spray gun settings and techniques but the learning curve was not too long. I couldn't be happier with the finishes...I was able to lay down the paints and sealers with a lot of control and had very even sheens. I used BM Advance paints and the needle that comes with the Fuji spary gun was adequate size. As for the actual unit...it is a very solid setup of high quality. The turbine is quiet and I was able to work in its vicinity all day without it driving me crazy. The spray gun was very easy to dismantle and clean. A couple minor things...the short whip hose came off it's barbed connector a few times at the turbine but a hose clamp solved that...and the quick connect at the spray gun also came apart but I was able to get it back together as well. Add to your setup...instead of making a spray booth, I purchased a 10x17 "garage" at Harbor Freight...really good quality and lots of room to work for $170! ... show more

  • The best Sprayer I have ever used. Highly Recommend this for Professionals.
Pattern Name: Spray System
I have been spraying finish on High-end furniture for 30 years. I ran a 6000 sqft millwork and cabinet shop for many of those years .Plus, many onsite jobs using bottom feed spray pot guns hooked to the air compressor. I typically did all the spraying. We had a system that was set up using 55 gallon drums of Catalyzed Lacquer in the shop. Up to this point that was the best finish I had ever had. I am now out on my own and doing smaller projects but I still need the high-end finish. After a lot of research, I decided on this unit. The Fuji Q5 Platinum gives me the best finish I have ever gotten, hands down, spraying the exact same Catalyzed Lacquer I did before. I am able to fine tune the sprayer to give me the right amount of airflow and finish, with very little overspray. I absolutely love this system. It is worth every penny. Not only does it give me a great finish but it is super quiet. I didn't have to have my radio cranked to hear the music while spraying and we could have a regular conversation standing right next to the machine. The Q5 Platinum is probably more than the Weekend Warrior needs but for Professionals, this is the best system out there. If I was still running the millwork shop, I would defiantly consider replacing the big system with this unit. The pictures are of cupcake holders I made for a wedding. They didn't need a great finish but it was perfect for learning what I can do with this system. The finish laid down nicely. Did I mention I love this sprayer? ... show more

  • Amazing Spray system ready to use
Pattern Name: Spray System
Upgraded from the Semi-Pro 2 so I could apply primer and latex with less thining and noise level. Fuji had a promo with a free gun when purchasing the Q5 so the pricing difference with Minimite 5 was worth it. This is the solution I would recommend if you are going to spray a lot of kitchen and wood furniture. You could also spray metal with the right product. Turbine is so much easier to use than compressor with regulator and oil/water filter. It has the power to tackle any work and the Gun T series much much better than the one provided in the Semi-Pro2. If you clean correctly after each use the gun, you will be worry free. I have the semi-pro 2 since 2020. Having the variable pressure allows you to reduce overspray with light material. Noise level is so much better than the semi-pro, I think the noise reduction is worth the premium compared to MiniMite. I recommend using the 3M PPS system, it will save you so much time because it includes a filter and no container to clean, just the gun. I just wish Fuji integrate a bluetooth remote like festool vaccum but the simple RF remote works well. ... show more

  • Professional Results with ease !!
Pattern Name: Spray System
Four years ago I purchased a Fuji Hobby Pro when I started building cabinets. It’s been a graete system to learn on and after much use I feel I got my technique down and felt comfortable as well as confident in my abilities. As with all things like this I started to consider a Platinum system for the versatility of the T Model gun, the selective PSI, quiet operation and ability to use a pressure pot. I bought the Hobby Pro on Amazon warehouse deals at an incredible price and was hesitant to invest $2000.00 when I felt I was getting good results/comfortable with my HP2. Finally after a year I decided that as a one man cabinet shop crammed in a garage i could justify investing in a new sytsem if it made me more efficient and offered versatility. I am 100% absolutely pleased with the Q5 Platinum system! The versatility of using the pressure pot saves time spraying and clean up! The T Model gun with the adjustable fan pattern makes spraying face frames so much easier and efficient. I dout I will ever spray latex but the ajustable PSI is a plus and I am getting a much more even spray pattern and even material thickness with this new system. The quiet feature is also vey pleasant. Not having a cup attached to the gun is a real game changer! I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend investing in a FUJI Q PLATINUM wheather you are a weekend wood worker or a professional ... show more

  • After much research - I've purchased the Fuji Q5 Platinum Spray System!
Pattern Name: Spray System
I'm building a built-in wall bookcase and installing it in one of my boy's bedrooms. He's asked that I finish it with paint. I've not completed that many woodworking projects that required paint, as they've mostly been finished with a wipe-on varnish. So I embarked on a journey of exploration and learning as much as I can about spray system options. After a good bit of research, I've settled on the Fuji Q5 Platinum Spray System. I've just received the unit, inspected it, read the manual, and tested the system (with water) simply to get familiar with the sprayer features. This is a well made system (cyclone, spray gun, and other smaller items to assist with cleaning, and determining paint viscosity). I'm impressed with the quality and can't wait to begin the painting process. I'll provide an update once I've primed and applied the topcoat on the project. ... show more

  • Perfect Upgrade from My Q3 – More Power, Same Fuji Reliability
Pattern Name: Spray System
I've been spraying with Fuji systems for years and recently upgraded from a Q3 to the Fuji Q5 specifically to run a pressure pot setup in my shop. The Q3 was always a reliable machine, but the extra power of the Q5 has been a noticeable improvement, especially when spraying larger projects and heavier finishes. Build quality is excellent, startup is consistent, and it has performed flawlessly since day one. Like every Fuji product I've owned, it simply works when I need it to. The increased airflow gives me more flexibility while maintaining the finish quality I expect from an HVLP system. If you're a serious woodworker, cabinet maker, or furniture builder looking for a dependable turbine system, the Q5 is worth the investment. My Q3 served me well for years, and the Q5 has proven to be an even better machine. Highly recommended. ... show more
