Bought this pump for use with my household generator. Being that the generator is several years old and runs strictly on gas, I needed something to ease the lifting for my wife, being that I only have 5 gallon gas cans. This helps tremendously. I also wanted to use it on a contingent basis, to syphon gas from my gasoline vehicles, for use in a disaster. The last hurricane caught us off guard. The one thing I found was that the hose diameter was too big to fit down into the gas tank filler tube on the vehicles. If it came with a 5/8" or 3/4" tube, that would work great. I will shop around for fittings to adjust the size of the tubing. ... show more

First off, this thing is handy. It's a lot easier than a wired 12v pump that requires you to pop the hood, connect the clamps and leads to your battery, then slog around with long wires and dirty hoses... This portable solution solves all of that pretty well. Second, it's well built. I only use this for diesel, so I can't comment on gas or other fuels / solvents. For diesel, though, it is holding up just fine. Battery life is adequate. On the downside, it's not as fast as it claims -- I haven't tried to make a scientific measurement, but there's no way this thing is doing 12gph. For that reason, I use it for smaller fill-ups. This pump is great for my zero-turn mower (15 gallon tank), two general utility tractors (10 gallon and 20 gallon tanks), the side-by-side utility vehicle (10-gallon tank), etc. You can fill those things up pretty quickly and without irritation. What is it not any good for? Big tanks -- I don't mean pickup truck tanks, I mean really big tanks. The excavator holds 160 gallons, and the dozer holds 120 gallons. I'd run down both included batteries before I ever got those machines filled up with this pump. If you're running heavy equipment or construction type stuff, you're going to want a more heavy-duty solution -- and you probably have an elevated gravity tank with big hoses that will fill them up lickety split anyway. If you're running small machines, this pump is super-convenient, works fantastic, and I recommend it. ... show more

It's about time an auxiliary fuel pump was made 'cordless' with a rechargeable battery. I really like the gas station style nozzle. Comes with TWO rechargeable batteries and their proprietary charger. These batteries are NOT comparable with the big name battery powered tools. I also like that the included hose is CLEAR and see through. It might be a little spendy, price wise, considering this is a 'no-name' tool. ... show more

Fueling my Kubota LX3310 was a pain - it's tall enough that I need to stand on the tire and lean, and I always manage to spill some diesel fueling from a 5 gal. can. With this gadget, I can fill from that same can, easily, much more quickly, and with ZERO spillage. It DOES have a bleeder valve, and is trivial to bleed. It DOES have auto shutoff that works. I didn't bolt mine to anything - when it is on, but not fueling, it "jumps around" a bit, due to the way it pressurizes the hose to see if the filler valve is open. This is probably due to some elasticity in the supplied line, or perhaps an air bubble somewhere. It's not a huge problem, but I do recommend you bolt this down to something. The one thing that could be better - if, instead of its own "proprietary" rechargeable batteries, it could use batteries I already own, or which are readily commercially available (and for which chargers are readily available) - in other words, it would be much better if it used my DeWalt or Craftsman batteries, or evey Makita, Bosch, Ryobi - you get the idea. It would also be nice if, instead of battery, it could readily run off of 12V "cigarette lighter" outlet. ... show more

There's nothing I hate worse than fumbling around with barrels of gas, well it takes us a little bit to spill on you and you're stuck with the scent until you go in and change and wash the clothes separately and special fluids to get the sent out and not have it spread to all your other laundry etc. This helps avoid those terrible situations. A cordless and quick setup that allows you to get fuel pumped in the items you need quickly and safely without the hassle. I'm getting about 10 gallons per minute out of mine.
