  • Probably BEST online purchase I've ever made !!!!!!!!!!!
Is it possible to give a product and seller a 10-star rating on only a 5-star scale? Is there a word more superlative than "EXCELLENT" that I can use to describe my experience with this seller? After initially (and inadvertently) placing my order with a delivery date beyond the delivery date that I actually needed, I contacted ECCPP (through Amazon) . . . they shipped in LESS THAN 24 HOURS !!! Completed installation of the fuel pump assembly (into a 2001 Ford F-150) shortly after its arrival . . . pump LOOKS beautiful (just wanted to stare at it for awhile) and PERFORMS beautifully (always install a new fuel filter when installing a new pump) !!!!! When ECCPP states "OEM" replacement, they mean it !!! . . . PERFECT match . . . PERFECT fit !!!! In fact, I think that this pump is SUPERIOR to the original pump assembly in at least one respect - - the pump float for the vehicle's (dashboard) fuel gauge. The float on this pump assembly ROTATES on the float arm, whereas - upon removing the original (vehicle manufacturer's) assembly from the fuel tank - I discovered that the float on the original assembly is FIXED on the arm in an "on-its-edge" position. The "rotating" float on the ECCPP pump assembly allows the float to always "lie flat" on the surface of the fuel - regardless of the level of fuel in the tank. Intuitively, I think that this might provide a faster (and perhaps more accurate??) signal to the vehicle's fuel gauge (since the "broader" surface area of the float is always in contact with the surface of the fuel, instead of merely the "edge" surface of the float . . . more surface area contact translates into faster / more accurate reading?). EXCELLENT product at an EXCELLENT price - - combined with EXCELLENT customer service from an EXCELLENT online seller. This has to be BY FAR one of the BEST online purchases I've ever made. ... show more

  • Exact replacement for OEM pump
I would like to have given this pump 5 stars but there was a minor issue with the fuel gauge accuracy. Using the OEM pump assembly as the standard, the F150 had slightly less than 1/4 tank when the pump was replaced. I did not drain any fuel out of the tank. New pump went in easily, new gasket was supplied. The fuel level sensor is clearly a lighter duty piece but it metered out very close to the OEM sending unit. OEM: empty = 20 ohms 1/2 tank = 90 ohms full tank = 190 ohms. New ECCPP unit: empty = 18 ohms 1/2 tank = 88 ohms full tank = 188 ohms. Very close. In reality, the new pump reads approx 1/8 tank HIGHER than the OEM unit. The 25 gal capacity tank had approx 4 gals of fuel (1/6 tank) but the new fuel pump assembly / sending unit showed slightly OVER 1/4 tank. I never run my tank dry and consider 1/4 tank mark as "empty" to avoid running the pump dry, the cause of failure on many fuel pumps. Overall, a good part for the money, fit well, connectors were correct. Large tank was harder to handle than most but with a helping hand from a friend, the tank was reinstalled in less than an hour. ... show more

  • Worked great in 2002 ford f150
My 20 year old fuel Pump stopped working. I checked the relay, fuses, power to the pump and bought this. It was priced great, shipped safely. Installed and tested pressure in the fuel line and worked great.

  • Sending unit failed in 3 days
Pump still works but sending unit isn’t working. It’ll show level at start up then goes to empty. I just filled it up and it started acting up. I also debated going OEM but chose this because of price and reviews. Given the big job it is (removed bed) I should have spent the money and gone OEM. Lesson learned. ... show more
