It takes time and patience to put these chairs together correctly. First two stages should be changed. It’s easier to do step #2 first and then do step #1. I found this out through trial and error. I would definitely recommend that you have an adult available to help at least through steps 1-4. Product is well built, all pre drilled holes lined up and both chairs sit very stable. No uneven legs, which is a great thing. These should hold up well and would buy them again. High quality product! One minor issue. The foot rest on each chair will need additional screws to hold it in place. Two screws just won’t hold up with people using that as a foot rest and stepping on point. ... show more

We set out a few months ago to buy a couple tall Adirondack chairs. We eventually happened upon the FRUITEAM chairs via Amazon. We chose these for their seemingly superior construction, value and price. Arrived 4 days after order. However, they arrived without any installation hardware. After contacting FRUITEAM via email and 800 number they promptly addressed the missing hardware, shipping us the necessary parts a week or so later. It takes a bit of time to assemble the two chairs - but instructions are provided asking with everythng needed to assemble (including tools and a few spare parts). We bought six of these chairs, we put one together tighten the screws down as tight as they can go in the whole chair was still very rocky, it would twist side to side and front to back very unstable. It's almost like the material that they made the chairs out of were very soft and the screws just wouldn't tighten down. I returned all six chairs and bought the real polywood chairs. ... show more

I like this chair! It fits me good, and it sits up higher, which is what I wanted. The recycled synthetic lumber is not bad, and I expect this will last with a little maintainance. What I don't like is that the hardware is a little loose in the holes, and the bolts are much longer than they need to be. I had to use my Dremel to cut off the extra threaded lengths. ... show more

The assembly instructions are pretty bad. You can not tell which direction certain parts need to go, so do not bother tightening all of the nuts and bolts until you get the chair fully assembled. I only had to disassemble 1 section. The parts are well labeled and the screws and nuts are well labeled, but the instruction pictures are not clear enough and the instructions are not detailed enough to tell which direction the parts should go. Once assembled, it is sturdy and very comfortable. It looks very nice and the HDPE materials is strong and water proof. The chair is high up, so you do not have to struggle getting up from the chair. The arms are wide and supportive and the back is high and wide and comfortable. The seat is slightly rounded to fit your butt comfortably, but not slopped or angled at all, so it is easy to sit and easy to get up. I gave it 4 stars only because the instructions were so bad. ... show more
