I don't want to scare off the male buyers, but thanks in part to the drawstring that can tighten the waist for women, these shorts are a good buy for either gender. Nothing about them screams "male" or "female" (but don't worry, guys, you won't look like you are wearing women's shorts if you buy these). The quality of these shorts is very good. I've bought over ten pairs now in size S in a variety of colors for my teens of both genders, and they hold up well in the laundry. Everyone likes the shorts & finds them comfortable and the pockets are deep and sturdy. Because of the drawstring and the forgiving style, they fit well on a variety of body shapes and sizes. At the low price (under $8 when I purchased), I've managed to cover a lot of outfits for the warmer months for multiple people at very little cost. My daughter wears them with girly shirts and her brothers manly ones, and everyone is happy. We just keep circulating them through the laundry, and there's always shorts the kids are happy to wear. I expect they will fit next year, too, and still look good. These are great shorts for anyone, but especially for families on a budget and multiple people to keep dressed in warm weather.

I bought these for my husband so that he could be comfortable lounging around the house, and he loves them. He's a big guy, and the 3X fits him just right. They have an inside drawstring, plus pockets, and they're very lightweight and stretchy. Because he's so happy with them, I highly recommend them. In fact, I've ordered him another pair in navy blue. The only negative is, they don't have much of a color choice in his size. If they did, I'd probably order at least one more pair in a different color.

They material isn't too thin and it's very soft and comfortable. The fit was just right, and I can wear them without tying the drawstring if I want. The pockets are fine, though you probably won't get much use out of them - these are not really meant to carry much. But you could carry keys or a small wallet if you're just stepping out. The only thing of concern is the stitching. It unravels a bit, so I'm watching to see if the production quality stands up. So far, though, it hasn't been a problem.

These are what I call my Slob Shorts. I acquired my first piece of my slob outfit a couple years ago when my sister bought me a V-neck shirt.. Yes a V-neck? I Don't wear them but when I put it on it was incredibly comfortable. So I only wear it in my house when kicking back. Now I have my nice shorts to kick back and relax with as well!!! The only problem is that they are bright red? I look like a tomato? but its the price of Comfort! Considering Red was the only color they had available at the time when their are more colors available I will buy them. I might even buy the blue ones so I can look like a Blueberry instead of a tomato! So Kickback and relax buy these comfy shorts! Cant beat the price. I am wearing them Right now as I write this review and they are serving their purpose during my comfy,lazy, relaxing time!

I REALLY like these. They are 100% cotton which is all i will wear but they feel so much lighter and softer than most 100% cotton shorts. The length is just right so that when you sit down your modesty remains in tact. They have a nice, wide waistband with an interior drawstring that doesn't roll down. Hopefully, they will get more colors in stock soon.

I have ordered this product three times in the last several years, twice in this calendar year. All three times I have received a different product. Originally, I received comfortable, drawstring shorts with pockets. Specifically, the elastic of the waistband was covered with cloth, so it doesn't dig in. Second time, I received shorts without a drawstring, and the elastic was not encapsulated in cloth. The material of those shorts, and the elastic was surprisingly comfortable though, and I wanted more of them, so I ordered again. The last order was again different, this time with a drawstring, but without cloth covering the elastic, and it pinches. I am tiring of ordering, "the same thing," and not receiving the SAME THING.

These shorts are just what I was looking for; soft, comfortable, tag-less, with pockets. I purchased four different colors and the only anomaly I found is the Royal Blue seems to be slightly larger than the other colors, but it's not enough difference to cause an issue as I just tie the string a little tighter. They do seem to be a little thinner than the same ones I have from a few years back, but, again, not a game changer.

UPDATE: Just look at my picture. Holes forming along seam, with very little use, just sitting watching TV. All the rest of my review is still true, but the fact is, these will not last long - they are junk. Can not recommend! ............... They are comfortable. I REALLY like all cotton. Synthetics are not cooler, no matter how many sales people try to promote them otherwise. I bought the Trueroyal Blue version. They are marked 100% cotton. They may be, but they also look, stretch, and feel quite a lot like the 60/40 shorts I accidentally bought from another company. I think that these feel cooler, so that is the best I can say. Although, at a J C P, I have literally held identical product in my hand that simply had 2 different tags in them. One 100%, and one 60/40... I’m saying that manufacturers LIE! So, who knows anymore. (I would burn a pair just to see if they melt, but if they didn’t, I might lose a pair of cotton shorts.) One other oddity, my shorts came from UnbeatableSales, INC. They sent them with hangers, and manufacturers price tags on them. The price tags were printed with the price $5.44, and are the big Fruit of the Loom tags we see in stores. I was a little put-off by that because I paid $9.70 per pair. Hmmmm... guess my deal really was beatable! Overall, I guess I like them enough to keep them... at the price, with the skepticism. I just felt so uncertain, AFTER I got them.
