As others have written, this is a very soft and comfortable sweatshirt. It is not a 'heavy weight' sweatshirt. But it also does not have the heavy price. On first glance it may seem a bit thin, but it is surprisingly warm for the amount of fabric. And this lightness helps make it comfortable and easy to put on or off and to layer underneath. Regarding sizing, I would go up one size if you want a more classic casual fit and want to layer. If you like a tight fit, it would probably be fine with your usual size. Either way, it is a prime item and if it is not right on the first try, you can return it for another. It is 60% cotton and after a couple runs through the washer and dryer it will shrink a bit... another reason to size up. The positive side of that is by shrinking it makes the fabric a bit more dense and increases its warmth. With layering options, this sweatshirt should be good for most folks from Spring though Fall. The cuffs and waistband have a good elastic to them and are not floppy. The zipper is basic and works fine for me. Finally, the price is great. You could wear it here, there and everywhere knowing that a nice new one awaits down the road without breaking the budget.

This hoodie is perfect for any outfit, and does well at keeping warmth in while being very lightweight. It is true to size, and incredibly soft. The material is well made, and the pockets are surprisingly deep for a hoodie. It’s a great buy for casual overwear!

Nice cheap hoodie. It is actually quite soft and has stayed soft(ish) after 8 washes. Nice bold shade of orange, so it doesn't reflect into your face in the sun light. Pockets are of a good angle, small objects don't usually fall out while you're working. The hood comes over your head just enough to cover the back of your ball cap. Enough to keep the wind off your neck but not enough to shade your face from rain. I think because it's a synthetic fiber, i seem to sweat more when I am working in it. But, it's spring and maybe I'm not yet used to the warmer weather. I keep taking it off while I'm working to cool off. So maybe it'll be amazing in the fall.

Excellent hoodie; fleece-lined interior feel super soft to the touch--kinda like being hugged by a teddy bear while you wear it, lol. While it is a lightweight hoodie, the fleece lining does its thing so wearing it on a sunny day is not a good idea (it'll feel swampy in no time). I wear it at the office to keep comfortable in the a/c all day. Great value for the price (<$14 at the time of purchasing).

I've got a couple of zip-up hoodies that I wear that are that athletic gray color. In the winter, I would put them on then go into the garage to work but I found I was getting stains on my hoodie. I went online to find a "garage hoodie" in black so I wouldn't have to worry about staining it. This Fruit of the Loom Eversoft Fleece Hoodie in black was exactly what I was looking for.
