I received a set of the Fruit Fly Gnat Traps for House Indoor, 36 Pack Yellow Sticky Traps for Gnat Indoor Outdoor Plants and Kitchen, Fungus Gnat Killer for Houseplant, Mosquitos and Flying Insect. These work very well, but they can be a bit large for smaller potted plants. I guess I was expecting a bit smaller sized trap. To Resize BEFORE Peeling off the protective paper: - I have cut a few of the Flower Traps in half to use for my smaller 4" to 6" potted plants. - I fold the Butterfly Traps in half, so they look better in the pots. Here is the size of the Sticky part of the traps: - Flower Design - About 3 inches wide x 2.5 inches high, once the pointed unsticky part is inserted into the potting soil. - Butterfly Design - About 3.25 inches wide x about 2.75 inches high, once the pointed unsticky part is inserted into the potting soil. Both of these fly and gnat traps are sticky on BOTH sides which is great! You need to peel the paper off both sides, which can be somewhat challenging to do and not get your fingers stuck! The best way to peel the paper off is by starting at that bottom "stem" to at least get the paper lifted off a bit. Another challenge is to get that thin pointed base inserted into the potting soil. It's easier to do when the soil is damp and softer. I have a couple of large potted Snake plants that have a bit of an issue with the fungus gnats. With the 1st plant, I tried to insert one of these Traps into the soil before I watered it. That proved to be difficult, so I then watered the plant soil and then the pointy end of the trap went into the soil a bit more easily. I then watered the other plant and put in another trap. By the time I did that, the 1st trap had already caught 5 stinkin' gnats! WOW! The gnats always start flying when I water, so I really was not surprised. So, I would say that these Gnat Traps work very well! They are just sort of a pain to peel and stick in the soil as the pointy base is very flimsy. I may try adding a cheap bamboo skewer broken in half to the next traps to see if that makes them easier to insert. All-in-all, I give these 5 stars as to how well AND how fast they are trapping the tiny gnats!

If you've got a cloud of little flies or gnats this will help lessen their numbers and get your plants rescued from destruction these pests can cause! My case was bringing home 3 Monstera plants from a big box store, that I had NO clue about having fungus gnats that live in the soil/growing medium and destroy the roots from below, how devious! Well, got the only thing I thought would help, the larger yellow sticky sheets, way too big, and very strong tacky glue on both sides, so difficult to deal with cutting, scissor wrecking glue! Yes, they did trap, but oversized and falling out of the pots, sticking to younger growth and not always detaching without doing damage, a comedy of errors, so to speak! This 48 pack is perfect to defend the plants that I'm helping fight for their lives, and keeping the rest of the general plant population safe, as they are not affected, so using as both a remedy and a deterrent to keep my collection safe while I do battle with this nuisance . The sticky traps are a terrific size and have little spike shapes at bottom to stick into the soil, works great. The fungus gnats are "lazy" and won't go far from the plant they are destroying, so getting right up on their stronghold with the brightly yellow colored stickies is the perfect attractant that you would want to employ . You will find them amply sticky and will find out how sticky, careful not sticking to fingers, strong stuff, not going to let flies or gnats escape, that is the beauty of these traps! The old and too big one I pictured has a sampling of my plant killers clinging to it, also , if you have long hair, as I do, please be sure to tie your hair back or you will get stuck to it, remember, this is strong adhesive! Just so glad to have these, they do work, put them in the pots and let them do the rest, you'll be surprised at the effectiveness and in some instances, huge number of pests you'll trap. My plants are healing, but I will not go without these, they'll trap while you get the visual evidence of what may be messing with your beloved plants. Recommended, got a problem, don't wait, it only gets worse!

This was my first experience with sticky traps for annoying fungus gnats (thanks, M..G potting soil). These are shaped like butterflies, made of a flexible bright yellow plastic that is still stiff enough to easily implant into the dirt. After discarding the potting soil and repotting everything that used it, some gnats remained. Within a day, stuck gnats began to amass on the sticky surfaces of the traps. There are still gnats that still hover around my pots, but hopefully far less than before.

These gnat sticky traps work fantastic! We love bananas but like clockwork would get gnats a week later. Have tried the apple cider vinegar and dish soap method but it just makes my kitchen smell like vinegar and didn't catch one fly. I was so sick of those tiny pests buzzing around my kitchen but these traps really do the trick. Plus, they're non-toxic and super easy to use.

These are great for catching Nats and little flying bugs in your plants soils. The backing was my only problem it wouldn't rip off easily and that bothered me.
