My bathroom medicine cabinet has a bar of 8 light bulbs so I've only used 25 watt ones (or equivalent) because I don't need that much brightness. Lately it's become difficult to find that size bulb with a candelabra base. I did get some incandescent ones at a local store, but they are the clear glass with the visible filaments and could no longer find frosted ones. I even tried using one 40 watt one, since the whole bar is on a dimmer, but couldn't really titrate the brightness between the different bulbs. I decided I needed to buy the bulbs online and finally found these. I bought a pack of 4 to try them out, since out of my 8 bulbs, 3 were burned out and one was the supernova 40 watt one. I put them in a day or so ago and these are great! I like the opaque bulb and I like the warmer color. AND they even play nicely with my older wall switch dimmer which I use because I like dimming the bulbs as a sort of night light since my old bathroom doesn't really have an outlet to plug to dedicate to a night light. Now I have a bathroom bar with 4 new bulbs and 4 old clear incandescent bulbs, so guess what - I am placing an order for 4 more of the new ones. These gave me sticker shock compared to the old ones, but I'm hoping their longevity warrants the purchase. (Unfortunately I cannot comment on the longevity, but hope it's similar to other LED bulbs). ... show more

These are perfect for vintage lighting, they are warm in color and although plastic they look and feel like frosted glass. After buying and returning from 5 different vendors, I finally found the right bulb. Similar bulbs from "vintage" or "restoration" type sites are $14-30 a BULB. We recently upgraded our kitchen chandelier to something more modern and these small globe lights really set off the light fixture. The frost glass is even all around so you won't see any bright spots, the whole bulb lights up evenly and uniformly.

Perfectly good LED bulbs. Light frosting on the globe. But make sure to read and understand the listing. We did not. We saw "LED globes" and ordered. We forgot to actually think about the size of the bulbs offered and well, oops. The large white globe is what we wanted. But these are fine LEDs so we'll find a use for them! ... show more

These Dimmable Round E12 base Frosted LED Light Bulbs give out the equivalent light of a 25W light bulb while actually using 2W. Amazing technology. I was using eight 25W frosted incandescent bulbs, using a total of 200W. Now I get the same illumination using only 16W, a big savings on my electrical bill. Bulbs turn on instantly to full brightness, 2700K in warm white. They respond without flickering when using my dimming light switch. The only nuisance is the dark streak in the center of the bulb, more visible at the lower levels of illumination (see the second photo) Let me know if you have any questions or if the review has been helpful. ... show more

We have an "outdoor" string of lights in our bedroom which originally consisted of a set of 10 incandescent lights. Not long ago I reviewed a set of LED replacement bulbs which I hadn't realized would be a very different shade of white and I think quite garish, but for a couple of weeks used them as replacements for the dead bulbs in the string. I thought the effect was horrible but to my surprise my wife hardly seemed to notice. You can see the effect of this mixed string in the "before" photo I am attaching to this review. So searching for a more compatible replacement I got this "Soft White Warm" bulbs which you can see in the "After" photo. My iPhone photos make the new replacements seem whiter than they are; I didn't even notice this until after I downloaded the images to post with this review. In any case I really like these replacement bulbs for my application. My only regret is that there are only 8 of them, so for now the two lights at either end are the "bright white" LED bulbs I got earlier. These LED bulbs not only use less electricity but they also run much cooler thermally, as opposed to the original incandescent bulbs which were hot to the touch. ... show more

I got these for my bedroom ceiling fan, as it takes candelabra size bulbs. While the color is a nice vintage warm tone, the output brightness ( even with all 4 bulbs) is too low for the room. These would probably make a better reading lamp bulbs, if you have the right socket.
