  • ORANGE PEEL - Frontier Co-op Organic Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis) is removed from the orange and dried to perfection, preserving the intensity of its citrus flavor. The orange originated in Ancient China and is grown and harvested in tropical and subtropical regions across the world, including Brazil, India, and the southern U.S.
  • GREAT SUBSTITUTE - Our dried orange peel is the perfect substitute for dishes that call for fresh peels. Use it as-is or reconstitute it in hot water. It is a common baking ingredient but can also be used as a garnish or to marinate meat. Mix some into your sauce recipes, or add some to your smoothies, herbal tea blends, and salads.
  • AROMATIC & FLAVORFUL - Frontier Co-op Organic Orange Peel is cut and dried to preserve its fragrance and citrusy flavor. The white rind is removed so all you get is genuine orange peels; they are known to be sweeter and less tart than lemon peels.
  • AMERICAN ORGANIC - Frontier Co-op Orange Peel is harvested in the US and made using the outer peel of oranges that are hand-picked during the peak season for a sweeter, more flavorful peel. Only the outer peel is used to avoid the bitterness of the white rind. Our product is certified organic, Kosher, and non-irradiated. There are no artificial additives or chemicals used at any stage of the growing or manufacturing process.
  • ABOUT US - Owned by stores and organizations that buy and sell our products, Frontier Co-op has been a member-owned cooperative since 1976. We support natural living and our products are never irradiated or treated with ETO. Were committed to the health and welfare of the environment and everyone producing and consuming our botanical products.

  • Great item
Love these orange peel pieces. They are sorted well (no leaves, stems, etc.) and the sizes are uniform. Would order again.

  • Great. US grown. Organic.
Love these rinds, Taste bitter sweet, which means they are potent. Great for overall immune system. Definitely worth it.

  • Not Like Fresh Grated
I was expecting more of the orange "peel" and less of the white orange rind. I had hoped for something more like dried orange zest. I find the white part to be bitter.

  • Perfect for what I was wanting
They were perfect for my uses (tinctures and teas). They are definitely strong and give a bitter, pithy tast if you use to much but that is common sense as they do contain dried orange pitch as part of the peel. Someone commented on having burnt ones but mine were fine. They may have gotten a bad batch. I am happy with them. They are delicious when used in the right amount with my home made cranberry cinnamon tea mix! ... show more

  • Bitter Taste
I love hot orange peel tea because it has many health benefits. I usually simply save the orange peels after eating oranges; and (in the past) that is what I have used. I started drinking this tea so often .. I kept running out of peels; so I decided to order online. The taste of this peel is nothing like the natural peel. Also, it has a bitter aftertaste which is unpleasant. ... show more

  • i am pleased...
i was bit worried when i read the one star review. i used my blender to grind the particles into powder form. when i opened the bag, it smelled orange...and i just tasted the powder, it's sweet at first but bitter after taste. like someone suggested, i put the opened bag into a ziplock bag and stored it in the freezer. i bought the ninja blender which also gifted me a cookbook from rachel beller....so i am waiting for the cinnamon to come. so i can add them to my morning smoothies. i think she's got a point that those spices are great to our health...and taste buds. ... show more

  • High quality orange peel, packaged well. Great price/shipping.
I use this for my beer, cider and mead making, on the homebrewer scale. The aromatics are really nice, and flavors are better, IMO than the curaco orange found in HB shops. The mylar ziplock package is perfect for retaining freshness and volatile aromatics, you want in your food or drink. Great price and shipping too! ... show more

  • They do not look like the picture and b/c it is food, you cannot get a return/refund
These are chopped up into fine little pieces. I was going to use them for cocktails but the go thru the strainer. They are not the large pieces.
