I was some what skeptical of this product. The price seemed steep for a windshield shade and I haven't had the best of luck finding a unit that fit well. Those doubts was laid to rest the first time I used this sun shade! First of all it comes in a nice carry pouch so you can neatly put it away when not in use. Second the you notice is the build quality! This isn't your typical sun shade, its well crafted. As for it, this thing fits like a glove! It fits around the rearview mirror and misc electronics mounted behind it with ease! This is my first G Class and not sure about previous or future models. I'm driving a 2018 G63 and highly recommenced this to G Class owners. It really should have any issues fitting previous models since Mercedes has used the same basic platform since 1979...2019 being an exception since they did make some changes. ... show more

Purchased this for my 08 G500 and it fits very well. It isn’t too large or too small and definitely isn’t flimsy. I’ve had other sunshades that were to cumbersome to really use with any regularity that eventually ended up in the garage. This one folds nicely away when not in use and even comes with a stowage bag. As far as performance goes, the interior is still warm but much less so than it is without it. One caution I’d give you is not to bend it anywhere other than the sewn in folds. It feels like they used a rigid foam core that once broken will always be degraded in rigidity. ... show more

Fits perfectly on any G class from 1979-2018, for both 461 and 463 series all variants including AMG. It won’t fit the new 2019 G Class. Seems to be well made and the dashboard is definitely cooler after installing this. Very good product at a fair price
