As an avid kayaker, I bought this lifejacket as a lightweight backup to my main lifejacket. This one has 2 pockets which are perfect for holding keys, fishing gear, and other easily accessible items. I also love the double whistle which is extremely loud and attracts attention in emergency situations. I do wish that the buckles tightened more around the waist as well as around my shoulders since you're supposed to be able to lift your body weight out of the water using the straps. This medium size would come right over my head and off my body so I should have downsized as a 5-9" 172lb man. The two main chest foams are just two blocks of foam, but should do the trick.

If you are required to have or use US Coast Guard approved vests THIS WILL NOT WORK. The vest appears to be ok, but the lack of that rating makes me concerned for its performance and longevity. It is less expensive than most, but not enough to risk this lack of certification. I bought some to use in my business, but cannot because they are not Coast Guard Approved.

When flyfishing, I always love stepping in the stream to get the areas where I can cast the reel. Trying to be safe and enjoy my hobby, I use a watersport vest when I go out. The FRITTON vest is lightweight and it does fit nice. I found it to be snug enough to the body to actually feel it is there, but it didn't get in the way as I was using my reel and rod. The vest fabric is fairly soft and the zippers fit tight. The pockets close very well and you can be seen from a distance as it's a bright powder blue color seen on front and back. The vest has several pockets and can be used for fishing, boating and other outdoor events. I've only used it standing in the water (in case I fell) and on the kayak when fishing on the lake. Thankfully I didn't fall in the water at any time, but even if I did, this vest was on. Overall, I'd recommend this vest to anyone deciding to check out a water sport. It's a fair value and easy to wear.

I got this to use with my sit-in kayak on paddling trips where a basic PFD isn't sufficient, and I have to say that the quality is pretty good for the price. The nylon Cordura material is not quite as durable as what I've found in more expensive PFDs but adequate for light use. The fit and range of motion is where this vest really excels. The side openings are very large and offer lots of room to move and stretch. I never feel constrained even when paddling vigorously. This wouldn't be my first choice for white water kayaking or rafting, but to be fair, it isn't really made for those activities. But for all-around paddling and boating, this is a good PFD.

Our local lake requires a life vest for kayaking and this one fits my 5โ 11โ 19x lb husband perfectly! You can adjust the shoulder straps, the waist strap, and zip it up easily. Bonus points, it has pockets! There is also an attached whistle that makes a pretty decent volume when tested. Weโve tried some of the not-at-all adjustable ones, and they didnโt fit well at all, so the customizable size features on this one are wonderful to have.

I ordered this Watersport Vest with Durable 600D Fabric & Breathable Mesh to wear when I go out paddleboarding on the lake near my house. Currently I have a vest that is made of a dense. heavy rubber material, and I chose this vest because it is made with a lighter, more comfortable Oxford fabric. I ordered a size medium/large, and it is a little bit snug on me (5'11", 180 lbs), but not so small that it's uncomfortable. So far I have had no issues with durability. Another feature this jacket has that my other vest does not are the pockets - very handy for small loose items (like lip balm, sunscreen, etc). The straps adjust easily and tighten securely. The emergency whistle is a nice touch - though I hope I'll never need it. Overall, this is a comfortable vest, and I'm satisfied with the quality and performance.

This is a nice vest and Iโm excited to use it in my kayak when the weather improves. The fit is higher on the body than traditional life vests, as this is for kayaking. The color is pleasing to the eye and you even get a safety whistle. The zipper closure makes it easier to use and while itโs lightweight, it says it can hold 300lbs. The zippered pockets are NOT waterproof, but I wouldnโt expect them to be. I will be using a waterproof bag for my phone, should I carry it with me onboard my kayak just to safe. I am glad I ordered it.
