  • Terriffic Small Fridge . . . especially for storing meds!!
Color: RED
Jul 2024 REPLACEMENT REVIEW: I ordered the exact same fridge, but the blue model. Delivery was on time, but upside down. This is NOT the same product that I had previously, but none of the changes impact functionality for my intended use, namely: -The outside of the 2021 red fridge was smooth and shiny. This 2024 blue fridge has a textured, grime collecting surface for the box, but a much preferred shiny door. -Note that the top product images show different inside door styles from the rest of this website. My 2021 red fridge had wire shelving; this one has plastic. Either should work just fine, but note that the plastic soda holders have holes in the bottom of each holder. Laying the meds down covers the hole. -2021 red version lacked an interior light; this one has a light. -2021 red freezer door was solid plastic; 2024 blue is vented plastic. Based upon other reviews, this newer style results in colder top shelf and warmer bottom of fridge temps. I haven't had it long enough to test. I hope that the new one, like the old one, does NOT freeze my meds. -2021 red freezer came with a mini ice cube tray. The freezer made ice just fine. 2024 blue model lacks an ice cube tray. -2021 red maintained refrigerator temperatures, per my thermometer. 2024 seems adequately cold; I haven't unpacked my thermometer yet. -2021 red had a shorter cord than the 2024 blue fridge. -2021 red had a thin plastic film on the fridge that made it look like the fridge was badly scratched. 2024 blue had no plastic film or bag wrapping it. -BOTH DELIVERIES were fine. No damage to boxes or refrigerators. Even though this 2024 blue fridge is NOT what I expected, it should still store my meds without a problem. IF young children were using this, then I'd prefer the wire shelving because plastic breaks too easily. That said, I bought trays to hold my meds in the door because they slipped under the wire and fell out. I do like the colors of both the red and the blue refrigerators. Apr 2024 UPDATE: I gave this away when I moved (advertised it as not working, ideal for a tinkerer); it worked when the recipient plugged it in. Apparently this was an electrical issue at my apartment, so I moved this back to five stars. Dec 2023 EDIT: It is dead. It worked for 2 1/2 years. Feb 2022 EDIT: This product was delivered in June 2021. It's now Feb 2022 and my lovely red refrigerator is still doing a fantastic job!!! I ordered this to keep my refrigerated meds cold without taking up space in my kitchen refrigerator or having the meds packaging absorb food odors. I also store beverages in it to take my oral meds. The door can hold one 2 quart bottle, or two 1 quart bottles, but not a 3 quart bottle. A 3 quart bottle fits lying down on the middle shelf. I don't happen to store beverage cans in it, so I cannot comment on that. My thermometer confirms that this product keeps within a normal range of refrigerated temps properly. This is important for my meds. Note that a number of reviews complain about scratches all over the exterior. This problem is resolved by removing the thin plastic film from the outside of the refrigerator. Tada!!! No scratches! Note that it is NOT frost-free. Plan to defrost every 4 to 6 weeks. Simply remove products from the refrigerator and place a couple of kitchen towels on the top shelf. Unplug for an hour or two. Wipe down the interior and the freezer drip tray. Plug in and return items to the refrigerator. I don't use the freezer section. I opted not to install the bottle opener. I tend to open the refrigerator using the finger indentations conveniently molded into the top of the door, so I cannot comment on the durability o the handle. However, the handle does match the style of Frigidaires from my youth. Delivery was much earlier than scheduled. I had to scramble to get someone to take it indoors because it arrived a week early and I was out of town. I had selected the slowest delivery available. Note that delivery is an AMAZON issue, NOT a manufacturer, seller, or shipper issue. I would absolutely buy this again for myself or a gift! ... show more

  • Dented up, but works great
Color: MOONBEAM
This came with the box all banged up and three small dents and one big one on the back corner of the right side. I was going to send it back, but started it up and it is running so good that I am going to keep it. I highly recommend This refrigerator. I write very few reviews, but this product completely amazed me. ... show more

  • Exactly What I Wanted
Color: RED
I wanted a mini fridge n my office, preferably one that had a bit of a retro vibe to it. I saw this one and was drawn to it but it was out of stock. A few weeks passed and my wife was placing things in the cart when she saw it was in stock and told me to grab it. Glad I did. This thing is sweet, it looks great and works even better. I had it cranked up and put a thermometer in it, by the end of the day it was at 19 degrees. So I turned it down a couple of notches. Everything is nice and cold. Size wise I can get a lot of drinks and snacks in there. I expected it to be much heavier but it's relatively light so yeah it can move when opening the door. Moderate noise level from the condenser, nothing that becomes to crazy, kind of white noise like. The shelves are plentiful and adjustable so big plus there. Outside of having to connect the bottle opener and handle, it was plug and go. Pretty easy to use. If there were one issue it's that the handle is plastic. I mean I would have loved a metal handle that actually unlatched the door than a plastic one that has to pull a bit to open. And really how much more is the cost for that over the plastic stationary handle? Probably a couple of dollars. But it would have taken this mini fridge to another level of cool. ... show more

  • Awesome Looking Fridge That Doesn't Work
Color: Pink
*UPDATE* Since writing this review, the Curtis International Support Team has had me trapped in a 26 message long email thread where they constantly need additional or better information from me to process my request for warranty information. I have sent them upward of 20 photographs of my now "field destroyed" fridge, which is a hilarious process in and of itself (we had to cut all the wires, shred the manufacturing tags, rip off all of the product detail stickers and scratch the serial number off of everything, among other things while photo-documenting the entire process) and I STILL do not have confirmation of warranty replacement on the product. Rather than telling me everything they need from me all at once, they send me new requests week-by-week, which is remarkably unprofessional. These guys take a minimum of 5 days to respond to anything, I'm assuming they're going to drag this out until September at this rate so I'm out of range for the warranty. There's a lot to unpack about my experience with this particular product, so TLDR; This refrigerator arrived almost a month late, heavily damaged from the shipping process. The replacement that was sent to me had compressor failure within 5 months which rendered it completely unusable, and I think it's going to take an act of God for the manufacturer to help sort out the warranty situation. Did Amazon try to make this right by replacing the damaged fridge? Yes. Did Amazon, Frigidaire, or Curtis International manage to provide me my factory warranty information in a reasonable fashion? Absolutely not. When I originally ordered this product on September 27, 2022, it was Prime eligible for delivery 4 days later on October 1, 2022. Following my order, I received email after email notifying me that my delivery was running "indefinitely late". After several weeks of this, I finally got the product, which was delivered to me in a heavily damaged box that had several gashes and dents in it. Unsurprisingly, the fridge inside was equally damaged, with dents and scratches all around the outside. At this point, I reached out to Amazon, who directed me to Frigidaire, and requested a replacement. I was required to send the one I had back to Amazon, which was fine, and Amazon was able to fulfill this request. I received my replacement refrigerator about a week later, and it was in great shape. I plugged it in, stocked it, and everything was fine until late April. One day I noticed a large puddle of water underneath the fridge as I was walking by, and opened it to see what was going on. I was greeted with even more water pouring out, as all the ice that had formed in the freezer compartment had melted. The inside of the fridge was room temperature, as were all of its contents. This fridge is opened probably 2-3 times a week, so the issue was not from wear-and-tear. Once again, I get on the phone with Amazon. Amazon takes note and directs me back to Frigidaire. This time, however, Frigidaire is claiming that they do not make these fridges and could not help me with replacing or getting support for this model (??) thus beginning the must infuriating game of phone and email tag I have ever experienced in my life. PREPARE YOURSELF. Frigidaire forwards me to Curtis International, which is apparently the manufacturer of JUST THIS ONE model of Frigidaire fridge. Curtis says "oh... yeah that's a Frigidaire product, you need to speak to them" and proceeds to cut me off from explaining that I already spoke to them, to tell me they were forwarding my call to the Small Appliance department of Frigidaire. What they ACTUALLY forwarded me to was the Vacuums department, the representative for which was obviously not able to assist. He transfers me BACK to Curtis, and Curtis attempts to transfer me back to the Vacuum department at Frigidaire amidst me begging them repeatedly not to transfer my call again. After many requests to speak to different representatives that may know how to help me, I finally reached someone who was able to file a support claim on the fridge. Two weeks go by, and I receive an email from Curtis asking me to provide a clear photo of the part/area that is damaged (how you show in a photograph that your fridge is room temperature inside is beyond me, so I just sent images of the until on all sides, inside, and underneath) as well as a photo of the receipt from the store I had purchased it from [Amazon]. I respond with a screenshot of my original invoice, as well as the replacement invoice, since one included the proof of payment and the other was for the actual fridge I had in-hand at this point. I ask, "will these invoice records suffice?" to which Curtis Support Team replies "we suggest contacting Amazon regarding your concerns as we are not the ones who provide, handle, and service these areas." I am officially in what feels like an infinite loop. I chose to call Curtis Support line, for a 5th time, today. On hold for 30 minutes, agent asks for my claim number. I give it. They say "please give me a moment while I check your record" and then proceed to leave me on hold for another 20 minutes. Then the call just... ends. I call back, same thing start to finish. I call back a THIRD TIME, I tell the agent I don't want to be put on hold while they check my record this time. She says, "please send a copy of your invoice to the Curtis Support Team and please be patient while they respond". I have her quite literally read me the emails in their support system where I already did this, and the nonsense response they sent back, and all she can tell me is to send it again and to please be patient. I have no more patience to spare. This has been almost 2 months of nonsense just trying to figure out if there is a factory warranty on this stupid fridge and as of 15 minutes ago, I'm still being asked to wait patiently. I was on hold for SO LONG, SO MANY TIMES, that I was able to write this in an effort to spare you, a prospective buyer, the headache I have endured. For the love of all that is holy, please save your money and go buy a different make/model... because if you decide to buy this one and something happens to it, you're in for a real bad time. ... show more
