I recommend this product. I waited to write the review for 6 months until I knew for sure this product worked. We keep the freezer setting on 2 and my food is frozen solid. No issues with this little freezer. It is perfect for a single person as it does not have a lot of room. The shelves are not movable and there is no light inside. It was very easy for me to pull inside the house and my husband helped me to unbox it and move it to its permanent location. I use this as my cake freezer. I am a home based baker. It keeps my cakes frozen so that I can decorate them easier. The shelves are spaced out far enough that a 6 inch high cake fits easily. It is NOT frost free. You will need to defrost this freezer on a regular basis as ice crystals build up over time. I checked many places before settling in this freezer and it’s price at the time was comparable to what I was seeing with other familiar name brands. ... show more

It’s not self defrosting but with its small size it’s easy to defrost it once a year. I keep everything in small boxes to make it easier to keep track of items. There’s no way to escape resource heat rises.

I needed to replace my compact chest freezer and I wrongly assumed the most efficient way would be through Amazon. I am a huge proponent of brick & mortar stores for these type of items, but with everything on back order or unavailable for over the counter purchases these days, I ventured outside my comfort zone. Not again. One or two photos won't cover half of the shipping container damage or make a "dent" in the actual freezer damage itself. (bad pun) Sad part also is my confirmation email had the words "new freezer" Quick list: 1)Freezer door has a double dimple dent, I am at a lost as to what could have possibly caused it. 2) Both the back and one side have a mini crater the size of a quarter. 3) The top front plastic trim has a fracture around a screw hole. I know what your thinking, quit b****ing and return it. Sorry, but the items I need to put in it far exceed the value of the freezer so I am kind of stuck. I hope it works. I can live with an imperfect appliance, but the fact that all on through from the warehouse supervisor, on to the the person loading the van and then the driver who delivers it, I still end up with something that has obvious issues just from looking at it. I am sure the instructions come from the top to just get it door to door, quality is not your problem. It is up to we the consumer to regulate quality control by returning things. It wasn't long ago it was the vendor that held that responsibility and had pride in their work. If I performed like this at my job, our clients wouldn't pay us. How complacent of a society we all have become, myself included. I will get off my soap box now and see if the freezer is coming down to temp. I needed a new freezer quickly. It came within a few days. I live in a small senior apartment with limited space. This freezer is a perfect size. It cools down quickly and remains at a constant temperature. I had a small chest freezer and this one being an upright is far more convenient. There is a very adequate interior. My product came perfectly protected. It was in pristine condition. I would highly recommend this freezer. It also is very quiet. Although the price was about a hundred dollars more than I was going to spend, I feel that it is going to be worth it over time. ... show more

This freezer works fine and was easy to set up; the size is great and there is plenty of storage. Unfortunately, our door is slightly crooked which impacts the seal around it. We didn't realize what was happening until it was too late to return (only 30 days!) or get assistance (3 months). Now the ice buildup on the inside makes it very challenging to open the door and our food storage space is significantly limited. We will need to defrost biannually at this rate, which is definitely a pain. We are still under warranty I believe, so hopefully we can still get it fixed... Just wish we would have had a little longer to detect issues and return/get assistance. ... show more
