  • Best tool for the job... Yes, any job!
So, if for some strange reason you find yourself in the same situation as myself (needing to rip railroad ties in half) This is the best blade for the job. However, WITH THAT SAID... walk away from that project. The Demo-Demon blade did a much better job on the ties than any other blade that I used, but the project was too much for any blade to handle. The blade deserves a 5-star rating because its function and longevity stood up to what I was throwing at it much better than any other brand/model of blade that I used. For perspective, the blade lasted for only 2 rips in 9' railroad ties. I didn't hit any stakes, nails, pins, etc. Its just the nature of the tar and creosote mixed with the pitch, sand and grit that just destroys blades. I wasn't able to get any other blade to last more than ripping 1 tie. For those wondering, yes I wore protection while cutting the ties, hat, mask, long sleeves, eye protection, ear protection, etc. ... show more

  • Amazing blade! When I took the time to look ...
Amazing blade! When I took the time to look at some of the wood cut, I was amazed at the number of nails/screws cut by the blade and generally I had no idea it had cut through a nail. The one time I was aware that it had encountered a nail, it became obvious why upon looking at the wood - it had cut the nail in half length wise. There was no jumping of the blade when it cut the metal. Of course I was moving the saw at a slower than normal rate through the wood being cut, but wow, great blade for demolition work!! After the work was over, the blade still looks good to go for much more work. ... show more

  • So Far, So Good.
I have to say that I'm no pro with a circ saw. I avoid them whenever possible because they quite frankly scare me. The kickback potential of a circular blade is scary, so if there is any alternative, I'll take it. This time around I'm taking out some sections of walls to install windows, wider than the old ones so I'm cutting through headers, nails and all while trying to avoid the sheathing behind. These blades have performed very well for me, cutting thru 16 penny nails without so much as a burp. A lot of cuts have to be made so I can remove one 2x from the the headers and then get the second. ... show more

  • Wow!
This is one bad boy blade. We cut through multiple layer of flooring at about 1" thick with nails and screws for days. Then cut sheet after sheet of 3/4" OSB with baby smooth effortless cutting. This blade lives up to it's You Tube video as advertised! Nice to find a product that works as represented. ... show more

  • This blade is great, until it's not.
The other reviews are more or less correct. I got this based on a couple of youtube videos recommending using a demo blade (this one specifically) to speed the clean disassembly of pallets. The first few cuts were like butter. Four cuts before I started losing the carbide teeth. By the fifth cut many were gone and the blade stopped cutting. I suspect it might have been a speeds and feeds thing and that I was trying to cut too fast for the carbide tips to handle cutting through the nails. Or perhaps someone used a drywall screw or something equally dumb. In any event, the carbide tips of the blades broke off and the blade stopped being able to cut. I'm going to buy another one and pay more attention to how fast I cut and see if that makes a difference in the blade lasting. Even if it does, it seems like the claim that this blade can cut through nails leaves the wrong impression (and thus isn't really a reasonable one to make): true, it can cut through nails, but it's not going to last very long if that is what you're going to do with it. Hopefully there is another blade out there that can cut wood and nails and not get worn out so fast (or at all.) The search continues. ... show more

  • Gnaws through everything!
I ordered these blades to cut up hardwood bracing from a local granite supplier. The wood is full of nails and all-thread bolts, but the blade just chews right through it. The product page says it includes one blade, but I received two...not sure if that was an error in shipping, or an error on the product page. I am using the blade with a low RPM worm-drive saw and have had no problems with durability of the teeth. Not sure how they perform on high RPM direct drive saws... ... show more

  • Cuts Like a Saw Through Butter(without the mess)
These Demo Demons seem to cut like any other Diablo blade when it comes to framing. Which is the best cutting experience I have ever had. I have used Demo Demons on 13 amp B&D and 15 amp Dewalt direct drive circular saws. This Freud blade made the 13 amp Black and Decker cut better than the 15 amp Dewalt saw with it’s Dewalt blade. ... show more
