The grind is appropriate for French press makers, the flavor is pleasant, the freshness is adequate. Not remarkable, but I will continue to order this product until I find something with better flavor or freshness.

I read some negative reviews from what seemed like people who don’t know how to properly measured and bloom with a French Press. So I took the risk and ordered some as my replacement burr grinder is on back order. Pre heat your French press with some hot water, pour out, then add measured coffee grounds to empty, heated press (1:16 coffee to water ratio respectively). Add enough 200 degree F water to cover grounds. Let sit for 3.5 min. Add rest of water (try to keep it around 200 degrees F). Sit for 30 sec to a minute with the lid on it. Slow press and enjoy. This coffee performed well! I can see if you don’t put enough coffee grounds in, it wouldn’t satisfy some, but if you know what you’re doing, it’s quite good for pre-ground. Give it a shot if you can’t grind your own whole beans!

I am new to the French Press coffee game. It took me three bad coffee experiences and almost giving up on the French Press that I received for my birthday before trying this coffee. I have had and enjoyed french press out many times, so I decided it was time to try it at home. So being stuck inside this spring and it being my birthday I thought this was the perfect time. Well with all of this being said I had almost given up until I bought this coffee!! So, all that being said. I have found out that I do not like super strong coffee, this is not. I do not like acidic coffee, this is not. I do not like "burnt" tasting coffee, this is not. I do not like the "sludge" in the bottom of my coffee cup, there is almost none. This is just a nice smooth, enjoyable cup of french press coffee. Just a side note, since I usually only drink one mug of coffee in the morning and my french press makes 2 to 3 cups. I poured the left over coffee in a small glass pitcher put in the fridge and enjoyed it as an iced coffee in the the afternoon and it is still great! I only use a little cream in my coffee. I hope this review helps coffee people like me. My recipe is 6 slightly heaping tablespoons to about 24 ounces of boiled water, steep for 4-5 minutes, press and enjoy!!. I have a 27 ounce French press. Update: After reading all the comments about how this coffee is great for Cold Brew, I finally got around to making some Cold Brew this week and it is awesome!! Highly recommend this coffee for both French Press and Cold Brew!! My Cold Brew recipe was 8 Tablespoons of coffee to 32 oz. of filtered water, steeped for 12 hours in the fridge. ( I would steep it longer in the future maybe even up to 18 hours. Enjoy!!

I just recently bought 2 different sizes of Bodum French presses and got this coffee to use in them. So far this is the favorite of all the 7 or 8 coffees I've used in the French press. The coffee is rich, delicious, and affordable.

I got this to use with my French press, but the flavor is so so I would rather go to trader Joe's and get my favorite flavor and just course grind it there since my home grinder just grinds one way and it's usually just based on the length of me grinding. I really can't get a coarse grind. I was trying to get my French press to taste as good as my espresso coffee but I can't get that same flavor with this brand of coffee.
