Eventhough it is made from plastic it looks and feels sturdy and has nice weight to it. Mug is filled from top to bottom with gel. Not like others I have seen and had....1/2 full. Feels good in the hand. Contents stayed cold until finished. Glad I got these. Thinking about buying another 2.
