I was looking for a comfortable seat for my kayak. The original foam seat that came with it has broken down over the years and is no longer comfortable. I've tried lots of solutions like rolled up towels and smaller inflatable seats made for airplanes but neither worked really well. I was excited to see this thick inflatable seat available. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of its package was the thickness and quality of the material. It is very thick and sturdy, similar to material I have experience on inflatable paddle boards or inflatable kayaks. The d-rings are solidly attached as well. The inflation nozzle offers a twist to fit feature both for the plug and for the pump that comes with it. I love the very sturdy connection which has not leaked at all. The pump while small is very efficient. I was able to fully inflate the seat within a minute or two. Quality is something that could use a little more attention. The foam that should be glued to the seat is not fully attached. At first I thought it was a wrinkle from packaging but on closer inspection, it was just a manufacturing oversight. If this becomes a problem, I will either take advantage of the 2-year warranty that this comes with or I will attempt to glue it down myself. It seems like with an item this well made otherwise, the final task of gluing down the foam for comfort should be given a little more care and attention. ... show more

I ordered this originally as a trial for the inflatable SUP as a seat, so it could bes used as a kayak but we also have three inflatable kayaks where this may get be the ticket as well. I like the fact it has its own storage Bag, pump, and hose but if I can an use my existing SUP or kayak pump and/or adapters for our inflator, I would prefer not to lug another pump long. I am impressed with the quality and and comfort of the seat itself. It is heavier duty than the seats included with our two different brands of inflatable kayaks so I feel it will hold up better and sits higher than our kayak seat We will need to confirm how it attaches to all three of our water craft ( one SUP & 2 different kayaks). It took me a minute to realize the spring loaded valve is a locking Push button type. Push once and it locks in deflate mode and air releases, push again and it locks in inflate and is closed. ... show more

Pro: I really like the size of this seat on my paddle board. I think the actual support is better than what others claim, as if you actually install the straps it does provide some back support, well it could be a better it does do a pretty good job. I think durability of the actual product is good. I also like that the valve is compatible with my stand-up paddle board pump for inflation. Con: I think the quality is a little lacking for this company. I've had other stuff from them and it's been excellent quality. I noticed that the foam that is attached to the bottom of the seat is already letting loose from how it was folded in packaging.
