  • Classic Schrimer Chopin Book
Format: Paperback
I love this Chopin book of preludes, noctrones, and waltzes. I've learned a lot from every song I've played in there and excited to keep learning. Most of the songs are very nicely printed. The binding is not that great, so you might have to step on it for it to stay open. πŸ˜‰

  • Complete Preludes, Nocturnes & Waltzes:
Format: Paperback
This has what I wanted in music. It does not lay very flat, but with use it is paper and will probably loosen. The book was not closing as I tried various pieces our. I make copies of my pieces so I can mark them up as I use them. Later the marks are not of use, I make another copy of the piece and make notes. By the time I learn the piece the scribbles are of no use anymore so the book opening flat is not an issue. I like the Schirmer books and they are lower in price than many others. ... show more

  • Years of great music to learn
Format: Paperback
I originally purchased this book with the intention of learning how to play the piano - probably not the best strategy (I realize). The first month or so was awkward, with little to show for my hard work. But it was enough exposure to become addicted to Chopin's nocturnes and playing the piano, in general. It has now been a little over a year, and I can entertain my wife with half a dozen of the pieces. There are at least another dozen songs I some day hope to learn. I forsee myself picking up this book on a daily basis for years to come, it's that good. Perhaps some day I will yearn for more.. maybe.. Or perhaps this is all I really ever need?! Best investment ever? It's up there. ... show more

  • A very complete volume that is nicely edited.
Format: Paperback
Purchased to complete my library of music, for my personal use. It is a larger book. Because I have no need to be transporting it about, I am not concerned about the weight. Knowing that I have a tendency to wear out music book bindings, and for ease of turning pages, I opted to have a metal ringed binder installed. At the same time I added a plastic page on the front and back. I use my music books well. If I were only planning to use it for show, it is beautiful and someone may find that sufficient. It is a lovely volume. ... show more

  • All Chopin All the Time!
Format: Spiral-bound
Wonderful with the spiral binding! I've gone through some of the pieces, putting removable tabs on the ones I can play with a bit of practice plus playing others so slow and agonizingly that they're quite unrecognizable. The print is a good size and very clear which is important when you have to stare at the page as hard as I do. Seller was very prompt and I'm thrilled to not have to fight with keeping the book open. Thank you! ... show more
