Well worth the money

My grandsons love these (5 & 8), I bought two! They run fine on batteries so they don’t always need to be plugged in. They use their tablets to follow lessons and or learn new songs. They have held up, even though they are pretty rough on them, as well as dogs jumping on them.

Good buy

This is a great keyboard. It measures 30.5 x 8 " (inches) very easy to use. I noticed some people saying that the keys stopped working. If you click the "finger" button the keys on the left won't sound. Click it again and they come back. Its part of the settings.

Small but a good place to start

This keyboard is very small and a little cramped on adult hands. It's a great place (and price) to start though if you are like me and have a tendency to start hobbies and then give up after 5 mins. It feels cheap but you get what you pay for. Probably be the perfect Christmas gift for your little one to see if Piano is in their future.

A pretty piece of junk

I really liked the mint green 49 key keyboard. I did compare it to a real full size keyboard as well as other smaller portable keyboards on the market. The key sizes were the closest to the full size of all of them, which made it a total pleasure to play. Sound was great for my purpose as a portable practice keyboard. I'm still waiting for my carry bag so I just took the keyboard to my office and left it there to use for a quick 10-15 minute practice during my lunch break, using headphones. Then yesterday I carefully packed it up in it's original packaging and brought it home (my office building closed for construction work). When I received it, everything worked. But yesterday I pulled it out and tried to use it without the headphones. There was no sound from the speakers at all! I tried both on USB power (using the original cord as per the instructions) and on fresh batteries. I tried turning it on and off, and playing with the volume dial. Great on headphones. Totally silent without the headphones. Wouldn't you know it, yesterday I was exactly one day out of my Amazon return window. I have no idea when the speakers stopped working because I was using it in the office on headphones after testing it at home. The speakers DID work then. I tried contacting RockJam, and they said that I had to go through Amazon for any return, exchange, or anything else. Amazon won't do anything because the return/exchange window is now closed. I've looked at the original boxes and all of the product inserts. There is absolutely no indication of any sort of product warrantee so if it stops working you are SOL. So now another decision. Do I buy an external speaker and use that when I want to play out loud (totally inconvenient for a portable product)? Or do I contact my credit card and reverse the charge (I'm still in my window to do that fortunately). Because it's obvious that RockJam doesn't want to stand by their products for any length of time.

Great little keyboard

Purchased this for my 9 year old to be able to continue her practice while we were out of town for an extended period. I loved that the batteries lasted and are still good even after a week of practice. No need to find an outlet to use the keyboard. The kids love playing with the demo buttons. The keys are smaller than a regular piano, but perfect for 9 year old hands. The one con about the keyboard is the volume. When turned on, it is very loud and needs to be turned down before playing. If you want loud music, then this is perfect. If, however, you are practicing in a small hotel room, be sure to turn it down right when you turn it on.

**Title: Great value for a beginner keyboard** I bought this keyboard for my young child who is just starting to learn the piano, and it has been an excellent purchase. Given the size of a 49-key instrument, the price point is fantastic, making it a very low-risk investment for a beginner. It strikes a great balance between being compact enough for a kid to use comfortably and substantial enough to feel like a real instrument. The included note stickers have also been a helpful touch for getting them started with the basics. For an entry-level keyboard, it comes loaded with an impressive number of options. Great for those who are just beginning to play. It is worth every dollar spent. My daughter loves it, and the setup is nice. Volume is good, and she does not have a problem transporting. It has been dropped a time or two, but it works as if it were just removed from the package, so it is very durable.
