  • I've died and gone to heaven
Size: 7ft 6in Style: Unlit
This is the kind of tree my family always got when I was growing up and in my younger adult married years (still married) that I and my wife got each season. There used to be a local business called Allied that did many things, it was an old war surplus store from wwII that grew into a general merchandise store, in fact, their slogan was "if we don't have it, you don't need it". Anyway, each Christmas season they would put up huge tree lots selling this and other species of trees and many of them were pre-flocked. The cheapest was $19.99, and the most expensive was $49.99. You would just roll in, walk around the covered area for the flocked trees and choose from hundreds. They would bag it and help you tie it to your car. It was a magical time to be alive in my opinion. well, as you know, now live trees are about half the price of an artificial tree or worse, and they weren't flocked. those were even more! so I have lived the last 15 to 20 years with this new type of tree (to me) that looks like a cone (its very pretty, just not what I grew up with) about 6 years ago, I found one cone shaped one which is flocked and its been a good tree. We would alternate each year between the green one and the flocked. Then I notice this Cyber Monday, as I just happen to be search Amazon for artificial trees. why? I don't need one. I already have 2. Then I see this baby. Its the kind that I grew up with. It looks petty good in the pictures. The price isn't too bad either, at about $140.00. One of the reviews I read, they guy said how it wasn't too terrible but not for the $300 he paid. well, I realized this was normally a much more expensive tree so I ordered it. Now for the actual review: I'm not sure if it was boxed then flocked or the other way around, or if it was set up, flocked, then quickly boxed. It may also have been that the guy holding the flocking gun stopped to talk to someone a few times as he sprayed the stuff as there are a few areas where its quite thick. A lot of the branches are stuck together and you have to pull the apart and straighten them. some of the branches went straight to the side of the box and are then bent in a 90 degree angle and the flock is smashed flat against the box so it looks pretty hammered when you get it out, but even in that condition I could see it. It was the tree of my childhood. (Don't know why i'm feeling a little emotional just now) So, with some effort (and with a mask so I don't breath so much flock dust) I methodically straighten and flatten (that's the way this tree is shaped as you see in pictures) its pretty nice! its also not perfectly symmetrical just like real ones aren't. It really is a nice tree, Charlie Brown. Its very nice. I'm happy with it. Now when I put it away, I will close up the branches much more carefully and fold them up against the trunk straight before putting it back in the box that way the next time I take it out it won't look like "bad, bad Leroy Brown" if you get the reference. (like a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces gone) for you young pups. ... show more

  • Complete Satisfaction!
I love flocked Christmas trees, and for several years I went to a tree lot and bought real trees and had them flocked. They were beautiful but always very expensive. The tree guy gave me a "deal" cause I bought a tree there every year, and they usually ran around $225. This year I moved to a complex which does not allow real Christmas trees, only artificial. I wanted a flocked tree but was afraid it wouldn't look right, that the flock wouldn't stay on, etc. I spent a lot of time comparing different makes and models of artifical flocked trees. The good ones are all over 300 dollars, but came pre-lit and will last several years (hopefully). This tree took maybe 10 minutes to set up, has one cord to plug in. Perfect amount of lights, and love the option to have white or multicolored. The main selling point of this tree is the flocking- up close it basically looks like a real flocked tree. I was concerned it might be a mess- real flocked trees certainly are- but even after perking up the branches and hanging who knows how many ornaments on it, there was hardly any flock to clean up. I don't know what they applied it with, but it feels like it should last for years. I love this tree, and if you are a fan of flocked trees, I would highly recommend it! ... show more

  • The flocking looks unattractive and is a little scary
Size: 7ft 6in Style: Unlit
I lived with it for 3 Christmas's but this year we decided it's got to go. We both feel like we gave it the benefit of the doubt because of the cost. However, the flocking is clumsily applied, so thick in many areas that it forms clumps around the branches which then become clumps of branches. And I'm not sure what the white flocking is made of but my partner says it makes his react the same way fibre glass does. The flocking gets over everything when we put it up and take it down. We have to change our clothes and vacuum the floor. I wanted to love this tree but ended up really disliking it. It's unattractive and I want to walk into one of those white decontamination tents after putting it up and taking it down. ... show more

  • Enchanting, fantasy—Realistic looking snow-flocked Christmas tree
Size: 6ft 6in Style: Warm White LED String Lighting
I did A Lot of research before settling on this Frasier Farm Snow-flocked Tree. It was time to trade-in my 22+ yr. old traditional Christmas tree that had worn color-coded hooks for each branch. A tree that had served me well for many years—but required a few extra hands, time to assemble—and having to withstand some scrapes from sharp wires. I had always wanted a snow-flocked tree, And the prospect of a more streamlined assembly was definitely a huge Pro! I settled on this tree And I’m So happy I did! Not only is it exquisitely realistic looking—But Very Easy to put up. You may want another hand, but the process takes about 15-20 min. to assemble the three pieces then virtually lock into place. I adorned mine with icicles, snowflakes, mini Waldorf wool fairies, pearlescent beads and silver & copper (wide) ribbons. Because I have cats, I put up a decorative, but safe boundary, a wooden, white gate that I think added to the overall decor—with three Waldorf-inspired, wool fairies hung from the hinges. Note: The flocking can be toxic to pets—particularly if they’re super curious And Chewers! I wouldn’t leave them alone in this room—But the gate has proven to be a great deterrent. Luckily, I can also close the room off when needed. This way, I can truly enjoy this Gorgeous tree without worry. In the room—I feel like I’m walking through a Winter Wonderland every time I look at this pre-lit tree. You can always Add more lights, or customize the string lights—but the pre-lit, warm lights version adds just the right touch of luminance. Looking forward to showcasing this snow-flocked tree for many years to come. And a few themed season changes too! Why take something down right after the holidays that can bring you such Joy? ... show more
