A few years ago I lost my Bolle tennis sunglasses. I loved those sunglasses as they popped the white lines and yellow balls. They had a green tinted lens. I have been in search of an inexpensive, yet effective, pair of tennis sunglasses ever since. These Franklin Sports Sunglasses are geared towards the pickle ball player, probably because it’s become such a popular sport, but are good for most sports. I was surprised by this orange red lens. It blocks glare pretty well. The lens gives you a clear and crisp view. They fit up close to your face, wrapping around the side of your face, so you are not distracted by edges or light. The silicone nose piece is very comfortable and similar to my lost Bolle’s. The ear arms are slightly disappointing, as they are not rubbery to prevent slipping. Maybe the nose piece keeps them in place. I was surprised that these sunglasses do not apply annoying pressure behind your ears since they are without rubber ends. I was afraid they would be uncomfortable to wear. They are not, but it is a common problem with sport sunglasses to fit the head tight that they hurt behind the ears. I was hoping the tips would have more grip since they fit looser. The arm’s red area has a slightly grippy feeling. Please note they are not falling off my head, but I will keep updating. They do come with one adjustable eyeglass string holder which I prefer not wear those playing tennis. It comes with a microfiber cleaning bag, though I feel for $35 they should have had a hard case so they do not get crushed in your bag. Overall the sunglasses have a cheap feel for the price. I think you are playing for the brand name rather than quality. I do like the glasses but will swap them into a better case. They do fit more like a sport pair of sunglasses and they provide UV protection which is important. They are extremely lightweight and impact resistant which is needed for pickle ball and tennis. I have grown to truly like the Franklin brand for sports equipment, especially in their pickle ball lineup, and these Franklin Sports Pickleball Sunglasses are just the latest in that line of admiration. My wife and I are getting into the game and in our sunny, hot weather state, being able to see on the court is important, so these Franklin Sports Pickleball Sunglasses will come in handy. We like them so much we have already decided to get her a pair. The materials are solid an appear to be well put together. The construction solid. I have many pairs of sunglasses and can be very picky, so I wanted something that had good material, solid construction, and would stay on well as I play. These Franklin Sports Pickleball Sunglasses are proving to be perfect for the job.I like the view - I’ve only been able to wear them once since getting them, but you don’t need much time to decide if sunglasses work or don’t here in our state - these do - spot on. The included cloth case doubles as a cleaning cloth and works fine, and the included rope strap allows you to assure the sunglasses will stay in place while you play. I’ve worn them, but not for play - yet - but so far they stay put and if they are anything like the other straps I’ve had, they’ll do the job nicely. In the end I really like these Franklin Sports Pickleball Sunglasses a lot and I know I’ll get a lot of use out of them. As I said, we’ve already decided to get a pair for my wife - she tried them on and was sold. Happy to have another Franklin product in our sports arsenal. ... show more

I got these to keep in my car for when I drive my dad down to see my mom. He's older, so the sun bothers his eyes. These work well enough in the car to keep the harsh sunrays out of his eyes. My dad really liked the look of them and he said they are quite comfortable and work well. He was pretty happy that I got them for him. I did try them on prior to giving them to him. I will agree that they're fairly comfortable and do look nice, but when I looked at the setting sun it seemed awfully bright through the lenses still. I'd say these are good for in the car, but not as good if you're directly in the sun. ... show more

I play pickle ball but these are not uniquely designed for the sport. They do come with a strap to hold them on your head, but the strap works with almost any pair of sunglasses. Colorful sunglasses, but not really only for pickle ball.

I got these for my son, who loves red and black... but apparently not enough to love these glasses. He's right that they are more plastic-y looking than some. So even though they kind of look cool, they don't quite have a 'wow' factor. (He accepted these as 'backup' sunglasses, so he doesn't hate them... just doesn't love them, as I'd hoped he might.) ... show more

These do fit my 12 year old, although they'd do better if they had a rubber nose guard since they do fall off with a lot of movement. They look nice, go straight on the side of your head (rather than behind your ear).
