The indoor/outdoor Franklin Sports NBA Alley-Hoop Kids Inflatable Toy Basketball Set delivers the Franklin quality I've known for decades. Although sturdy as a free-standing 360-degree basketball hoop, it is not designed for bigger kids' roughhousing. Let the little ones master this fun activity game, indoors or outdoors, as weather permits. The Set is advertised as complete and comes with everything you need to play right out of the box, but unfortunately, that's not my experience. The manual small hand pump has a needle in the handle to inflate the ball. Still, this Set doesn't mention or come with an air compressor to inflate the uprights and the hoop, yet the packaging box has a notation: "Air Compressor Recommended. Sold Separately." For this omission, I'm deducting 1 star. Full Disclosure: I received this product for free from the Vine program. However, I did not receive any payment for this Review. I am committed to providing honest and unbiased reviews. You need to know that I pay a significant 29% in federal and state income taxes for each item, a burden I carry. This is an awesome set. You get everything you need to get started. It is a taller height so it makes it more challenging for beginners. The set includes the pump to blow up. My boys are teenagers and we still love this inflatable hoop! It was pretty easy to setup. To be honest, I was able to blow it up just using good ole fashion hot air and it didn't take long. You add water to the base first so it's sturdy and it comes with a pump and needle to inflate the ball. It took a minute to figure out that the needle is stored in the handle, but once we found it, it was easy to inflate. It holds up pretty well although it leans a little at times. My grandkids absolutely loved this basketball set! Setup was very easy; it came with the pump and a basketball. Dad blew it up for them and had it ready within a few minutes. It's nice and tall. We’ve just used it in the house so far because it’s been too cold to go outside with it so we haven’t filled the base with any water yet. It tips over pretty easily without the weight in the bottom though. But they have had many hours of fun with it, so glad I got it for them! ... show more

    • Could be better could be worse
I’m in a cold climate this time of year and each time we pump it, it’s deflates on its own after a while either from the cold or the seals on the holes to fill it aren’t working. Most likely just from the cold I don’t feel or hear any leaks. The pump they provide I didn’t use except for the basketball. Recommend using an automatic inflator or air compressor. Even with that it still took a bit of time to fill up the hoop portion of the set. The ports are the nice kind you can use an adapter on your pump n get a better fill without having air leak out for the most part. The idea is very cool and can work for sure. For me it’s a bit too flimsy even fully pumped. And when you have rough kids they just wanna run under it and bring it down lol. It’s a fun idea for upcoming winter months to have something to do inside. If only it stayed pumped longer and the white tubes were more solid. Gets a little annoying having to keep refilling it every morning. The ball is the best part of the set imo. Neutral 3/5 stars. Hope this helps. ... show more
