  • Really good...but
First let me say this is surprisingly accurate with unexpectable repeatable results. Pretty quick n easy to setup as well. The following is why its not a 5 star product and may not be worth buying. 1) Everything runs off the tools shaft, which has some runout. The case your sizing does have some wobble. Its not terrible but its noticeable. 2) The 2 bearings are garbage. With this tool you feel the cutting action, when its smooth the case is trimmed. Is my case done? Idk the bearings are notchy. Sealed Japanese Bearings are needed-$30-40 for the pair. 3) The cutting bit is just ok. After 500 rounds its getting dull and chattering on the case. RCBC sells a carbide cutter for $32, mine will be here today..hope it fits. In closing, all in plan on having $150 in this thing. It should be a really good tool. If for some reason the carbide cutter wont fit due to thread differences I'm returning everything and buying the Dillon trimmer for my 750. My wallet will feel the pain, but my hands should be pain free after using tools like this. ... show more

  • Worth the money.
The initial set up is a bit of a pain in the tail but once you figure it out it is easier. I have found low speeds tend to work best and give the least amount of run off. Its definitely worth it for the money.

  • Good trimmer, fast and accurate
For bottle necked cartridges, this works great! It's not for pistol ammo and even the 300 blackout struggles due to its tiny shoulder, but for my 5.56/.223 ammo and my 30-06 it works great. After getting used to how it works, I can trim brass all within .003" of each other. My technique is to run the case into the trimmer with my old craftsman drill at full throttle (it doesn't run as fast as a newer drill) and when I feel the trimmer is no longer trimming(yes you can feel it), I give the case a twist and then pull it out. With a little practice you can get pretty consistent results. I just wish it worked a little better for my .300 blackout ... show more

  • Takes some getting used too.
This is a nice trimmer and capable of accurate trimming. The micrometer like scale is IMO pretty much useless. The indexing mark is too far away to be of much benefit and the method of adjusting is not conducive for consistency or accuracy. This trimmer is more of a feel type of tool. Once you get the cutter set you can eyeball the micrometer indexing mark and get you in the ballpark. I would suggest setting the cutter just where it makes slight contact on the neck then tighten the lock ring and give it a try slowly at first putting light pressure on the head of the case pushing towards the cutter. Run the drill for just a second then check the case measurement. Keep doing this until you get the trim length you want or until it stops cutting. I was able to get cases trimmed to within .001 or less but it requires some adjustments and some practice with proper pressure. Once you get it down it works well and is suitable. If you’re looking for something that is easy and a no brainer then this is not the tool. It is much more accurate than the other drill activated trimmers. It is made well and does the job thus 4 stars. ... show more

  • Does the job
After 500 rounds I find the trim length to be sort of inconsistent. It's not the fastest method but it works. The bearings are already getting crunchy so these aren't the b st value. Already looking for better options.

  • Works well.
After getting my drill press chuck to run true this trimmer works very well.

  • Fast and accurate
I've been using a Lee zip trim to trim brass for over 15 years. It finally broke and even though I ordered another one I thought I'd give this a shot for rifle brass. It does take a little time to get it set up just right to trim the brass to the exact length you want. Once set it trims very accurately and consistently. I've trimmed hundreds of rounds of 223 at a time and with the same amount of pressure the cases all came out within .001 of each other. There is only a slight learning curve but this product makes short work of piles of brass. Mine is still sharp after several thousand trimmed cases. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to simplify the case prep process. ... show more
