  • Really good...but
First let me say this is surprisingly accurate with unexpectable repeatable results. Pretty quick n easy to setup as well. The following is why its not a 5 star product and may not be worth buying. 1) Everything runs off the tools shaft, which has some runout. The case your sizing does have some wobble. Its not terrible but its noticeable. 2) The 2 bearings are garbage. With this tool you feel the cutting action, when its smooth the case is trimmed. Is my case done? Idk the bearings are notchy. Sealed Japanese Bearings are needed-$30-40 for the pair. 3) The cutting bit is just ok. After 500 rounds its getting dull and chattering on the case. RCBC sells a carbide cutter for $32, mine will be here today..hope it fits. In closing, all in plan on having $150 in this thing. It should be a really good tool. If for some reason the carbide cutter wont fit due to thread differences I'm returning everything and buying the Dillon trimmer for my 750. My wallet will feel the pain, but my hands should be pain free after using tools like this. ... show more

  • Amazing results, great price
I've used this to trim my 17 hornet brass all the way up to 308. This thing holds very true for me. As long as they are the same head stamos no problem. I have ran 1000s of 223 through it already mixed Stamps. All the cases trimmed very well with no adjustments on different head stamps. I would definitely buy this again. Price and accuracy of this is hard to beat. Setup is simple, just remember to set the stop ring before. I have had great luck with frankford arsenal products, this one hold to the same quality. Anyone looking for a fast way to trim a large amount if brass look no further. I love i can do my 17hornet with this. ... show more

  • good trimmer
I used this trimmer while forming 6mmBR cases from .308 brass to remove the excess neck after necking down. It removes material quickly and cleanly, which saves a lot of time compared to traditional hand trimmers. The setup process is a bit tricky at first, especially if you haven’t used this type before. Since it indexes off the case shoulder, I recommend running the brass through a full-length sizing or body die first to ensure consistent headspace before trimming. In my experience, the trim length variation is within ±0.001 inch, which is excellent for this type of tool. Overall, it’s a fast and precise trimmer once properly set up, ideal for high-volume case forming or precision reloading work. ... show more

  • Fast, accurate, easy if you know what your doing.
This tool is amazing! I bought it for 300blk ammo. I like to leave a little extra neck on the case when I run it through the chop saw. This tool allows me to accurately take that extra off quickly....like in seconds. The trim length is set by your case headspace....so if your length of trim varies its because your case headspace (which you have set with the fl die) is what is varying the trim length....not the tool. So make sure you get a accurate case headspace set, and this tool is beyond wonderful. I wouldn't suggest it for precision long range reloading, but if you want to crank out some ar rounds it is more than accurate enough. ... show more

  • Needs modification to actually work well
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Concept is good execution, not so good. As it comes, it is not consistent, makes poor quality cuts (burrs) and often cuts off square. I replaced the cutter with an RCBS carbide cutter which makes it cut much cleaner and should last much longer than the stock cutter. It also allows you to use a pilot which solves the off square cutting. If you do not want to make these modifications I would suggest you pass on this tool. ... show more

  • Good trimmer, fast and accurate
For bottle necked cartridges, this works great! It's not for pistol ammo and even the 300 blackout struggles due to its tiny shoulder, but for my 5.56/.223 ammo and my 30-06 it works great. After getting used to how it works, I can trim brass all within .003" of each other. My technique is to run the case into the trimmer with my old craftsman drill at full throttle (it doesn't run as fast as a newer drill) and when I feel the trimmer is no longer trimming(yes you can feel it), I give the case a twist and then pull it out. With a little practice you can get pretty consistent results. I just wish it worked a little better for my .300 blackout ... show more

  • Important Tool for the Reloader.
Easy to set up and easy to change for you various calibers. Blades cut smoothly. If you get any chatter your brass may be work hardened. Try annealing your cases before trimming. Easy to use in drill press or hand drill. If you are shooting bottle neck cases this tool set is a must.

  • Fast and accurate
I've been using a Lee zip trim to trim brass for over 15 years. It finally broke and even though I ordered another one I thought I'd give this a shot for rifle brass. It does take a little time to get it set up just right to trim the brass to the exact length you want. Once set it trims very accurately and consistently. I've trimmed hundreds of rounds of 223 at a time and with the same amount of pressure the cases all came out within .001 of each other. There is only a slight learning curve but this product makes short work of piles of brass. Mine is still sharp after several thousand trimmed cases. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to simplify the case prep process. ... show more
