These are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for! I ordered a size 6.5 since that’s my typical show size. That said, they were a little tight on the top of my foot and I struggled a bit to pull the zipper. BUT, they are real leather so they will stretch and after wearing them for one day, I wouldn’t change a thing. Perfect fit around my calf and I would say I have average size calf’s at 5’4” in height. (I’m an athlete, and don’t have muscular calf’s, but some reviews are saying they have narrow calf’s and they were too big. Not so for me!!) The feel is very soft leather, so easy to put on and off with the back zipper. I will wear these when dressed casual or dressed up. So happy they went on sale at 40% off! Oh and by the way, they are made in China. Inside the bouts it says they’re made in India.

Be aware! First time In over twenty years of buying on Amazon that I’ve ever felt scammed. Buying from Amazon has historically been a pleasure. I purchased these boots in January of 2026…loved them! Then by February the zipper pull came off…no problem…DIY fix wasn’t great but it worked…then didn’t wear them much because of wonky zipper pull fix…got over it and wore them again in late May except then the zipper split. I took a risk and called Amazon (miraculously had an option to have customer service call me), told them my tale of woe and they graciously extended me a late return authorization with a full refund. I shipped the boots with the label they provided and then checked the return status about a week later. The status was wonky for weeks…saying my refund was coming but delayed until July 18, 2026. Finally, I checked on the 18th and the status was changed to say DENIED because past the 90 day limit??? I’ve tried for two days to find an option to live chat or call Amazon Customer Service to no avail…it’s like they purposely don’t want to help their faithful customers. Very disappointing and sad. Not sure what to do so I’m pouring my heart out in a review. Great boots…the zipper thing, honestly, was probably a fluke because the quality was quite high. HOWEVER the customer service makes me regret this purchase.

These boots are beautiful (color matches photo; leather is soft; design is trendy and cute; no smell right out of the box), but I awarded them 3 stars (and returned them) for two reasons: 1) the zipper is impossible to zip (especially at the ankle where there is more fabric, in part because of the zipper location--if it was on the inside, there might not be so much folded leather!), and 1) the calf size does not meet wide-calf standards (i.e., width is typically measured from a size 6 and then incrementally increases in half sizes--I wear a 9, and the calf width measured the same as a size 6, listed on the site--I even checked the Franco Sarto website for clarification on this). Super disappointing because I really wanted to love these boots!

I did not receive the color I ordered (light brown), but instead received the much lighter tan color. Nevertheless, the boots are a very nice leather. The zipper is a bit tough to get up over the heel and requires you to be soft handed when zipping and unzipping, so that you do not damage the zipper itself. You also need to be conscious of material getting in the zipper. However, the boot is very cute and well-made. I have a wide calf and ordered the black in “wide calf” and the light brown in the regular width. The regular width is snug and the wide calf was just too wide for me, and I am returning and have ordered them in the regular width. For reference, I am 5’8” and wear size 8, these boots land right below my knee. The foot bed is comfortable and see these easily worn throughout a day without hurting my feet. I gave 4 stars only because I did not receive the color I ordered. Not sure if this was the fault of Amazon or manufacturer. Since my first review I ordered the Dark Brown in size 8. Worried that if I ordered the Light Brown like I actually want I would receive the light tan again anyway, so Dark Brown. They came in a plastic bag, instead of packed/stuffed and in their original storage box. Very disappointing, scuffed, and giving the feeling that they are used. I paid for “new” boots. The boots are well-made and nice leather; the only issue with the boot itself is the zipper being a little tough to navigate up and down in the heel area. Be patient and take care when zipping and unzipping and these boots should last you years. Still only five stars for lack of care in packaging.

Ordered a second pair. Perfect for me. My calves are 15” these boots are bigger but with skinny jeans it’s fine. The boots feet are indeed narrow. My feet are B and I have just enough room to wiggle my toes. I have high arches so I always juice up the insoles. I love the cotton twill lining up the sides. The back zipper is a little tricky. I put my finger inside to keep the zipper flap down and they zip up nicely. I’m 5’10” and the boots come up to my knee bone. Very comfortable. I wore them straight out of the box. Durable leather. Thick lining.

I initially ordered these in my true size 7. When they arrived I was able to fit my foot in the shoe with no socks on. The shoe was very tight around the width of my foot. The back of my heel touched the back of the shoe more snuggly than I wanted. I went out on a limb and ordered a 7.5 shoe that was considered "Used very good condition" because I didn't want to give up on the boot as it's very beautiful and was the exact aesthetic I was searching for for a while! This was the right choice! I'm glad I sized up the half size and it helped in the tightness as well. I don't know if they were previously used and if that contributed to the less tight feeling, but they looked like they were in great condition. Probably just a return from someone else. I recommend this shoe but just be careful with sizing. In the previous pair I did have the zipper issue as many other people have expressed as well. But with this new pair they seem to glide better. I guess it's just a manufacturing issue. But very nice shoes and great soft leather.

I love these boots, they're a great value - thick soft leather, heavy duty metal zippers, definitely made to last. The calf is a little wider than I expected but it doesn't gape and the look is like real riding boots so they're meant to fit over thin pants and have a little room to move the ankle. Since it's real sturdy leather, it would be impossible to move if they were more snug. I wore these on a business trip where I had to walk and stand all day and they looked smart were comfortable right out of the box. They're lovely and look great with a dress or jeans/leggings. A classic style, take care of them and they'll last for decades
