So I go to oil maintenance businesses to changes my oil especially since my car's process is tedious to do. The reps always tell me my filter needs to be replaced and want to charge me over $80 for the filter. I decided that changing the filter is something I can do myself so I took a chance and bought this. It was SOOOO easy to install and at a fraction of the cost what the oil techs wanted to charge me. Better than the OEM filter it replaced and easy to install if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty. It does have thicker foam around the top of the filter than the OEM product which makes for a better seal around the enclosure but also makes it a little harder to close the top cover at least in my case, No worries, I like the quality and will buy again. ... show more

This is my favorite brand for automotive filters (engine air) and it takes no tools to replace. This is something that I change in my driveway annually. If I had them do it at the dealership, my cost would be over double what I pay on Amazon. Cure your cranial rectalitis and do it yourself!

I've been using FRAM products for years. Not sure they're the best, but I don't recall ever having a problem with an oil or air filter falling apart and causing damage. We change our Highlander's engine air filter every year. It's easy to see how much crap it stops from entering the engine. Simple and necessary maintenance. We recommend this product. ... show more

    • Too tall and 48 pleats vs 68 from OEM
CA12377 was ~ 3/8" taller due to thickness of the rubber gasket as well as the paper pleats. This made it very hard to close the cover. It also had 48 pleats instead of 68 so the OEM seems to have 40% more filtering. Ordered B0C1BGGSKL and it was exactly like the OEM from Toyota.
